A wolpertinger is an legendary animal, which lives probably in the alpine forests of Bavaria in Germany. In Bavaria the name is more spoken like "Woiperdinger" or "Woipadinga"
It*s body is a mix out of various animals, often wings, antlers, tails and fangs . The common description portrays the Wolpertinger as having the head of a rabbit, the body of a squirrel, the antlers of a deer, and the wing of a bird.
In modern times Wolpertingers are also the main characters in the novel "Rumo and His Miraculous Adventures" by Walter Moers, but in this story it is a cross between wolf and deer. Tthe little strange creature, found it's way into games like "WoW", "Guild Wars" and "The Witcher" and now in the MagiWorld too.
