In the mountains of Arkene, long ago, the chill of the winter winds was once matched only by the chill between the Swift Hunters and Silver Trails kitsune tribes. Their feud lasted generations, passed down through bitter tales and lost hopes.
Unable to tolerate the continuing carnage, the wisest and most ancient kitsunes of the mountains called upon the tribal chiefs to attend judgement.
"You have brought enough death and destruction to your tribes," they said. "For the sake of peace and harmony and to create lasting impressions between your tribes, your first-born offspring shall be mates for life."
And so the first-born offspring of the two tribes now live in the center of the joined villages, bringing forth offspring loved and cherished by both tribes. To this day you can still hear the story of the Swift Hunters and Silver Trails Lasting Impressions, and see generations of their offspring spreading peace, love, and harmony among all the magical creatures of Arkene.
