Who has Rescued......

thats awesome everyone!!! When i put this up I was about to bring the mourning dove to a wildlife rehab and I honsely didn't think I was going to get this many Replys!!!

I maintain a class II wildlife permit for the state of Florida, which allows me to rehab anything from a bobcat to a coyote to your standard critters. Not all of 'em make it, but I try my best to get them what they need and get them back into the wild.

You and Me are gona Be good friends. I rescue an animal/animals at lest once or twice every summer!!
So I might have a few question When I have them, until I can get them out to that center I take them too.

I've rescued a pair of parkeets before.
I found the walking around together I took them in and put a add in the paper Found Bird.
Turns out a child let them out hoping they would go be free and fly away.Their wings where clipped .
The mother called me talling me this and that I could keep them since she already replaced them.
Careless people should'nt own animals.
The two Blueberry and Lilly are now living happily with my cousin.

The little dove Vera that I rescued is doing great and She did have a fracture that heeled wrong and they got a brace on her leg so that it can try to be fixed.

That poll is totally unfair...

I've rescued cotton tail and jack rabbits, robins, and mourning doves. I've been party to the rescue and rehabilitation of deer and racoons. I'm assuming that last one is Oppossum, but they don't live here, but I did get to help a family take proper care of the baby possum THEY had rescued- little critter more than doubled in weight in the two weeks I was there.

I've also rescued LOTS of pigeons, starlings, crows, magpies, house finches and house sparrows. I've also rescued mallard ducks, a house wren, a few California quail, a rufus sided towhee, lazuli bunting, Western Tananger, bullsnakes, garter snakes, western toads, bullfrogs, tree fogs, house mice, squirrels, crawdad, a fish that I forgot what kind it was... and probably many more critters I've forgotten about over the years.

I do legal wilife rehabilitation- but I don't have my own license yet, I work under other licenesed rehabbers.

I rescued a baby blue-jay once and I've also rescued a mouse.
