It's caused by photobucket messing up and pulling the old egg image from the cache. It really is blue, but photobucket will insist on showing it as brown for a while still.

The egg basket gets quite the tumbling by hands picking up eggs faster than the eye can see. The gray blends into brighter colours and after the last egg is taken from the basket, no new eggs appear in it.
