Personality: Blaine is a rather happy-go-lucky sort of guy. He loves being around people, and is extremely hyper. He has a love of sweets and horror movies. He does, generally, hide any bad feelings. He does not like his powers in the slightest, and does his best to keep them under control. He does seem to have some trust issues, but keeps these feelings bottled up.
In fact, much of his perky attitude is played up. He can, in fact, be rather cynical, and often beats himself up over everything and has a tendency to over thing every little thing, agonizing over it until he can convince himself that, whatever it was, isn't as big of a deal as he thought. He's rather insecure, and incredibly private, often only giving out half-truths when asked about himself.
Looks :
Blaine stands about 5'6. He has a slim build and blonde hair. His eyes are bright and blue and his skin is rather pale. He tends to wear colorful, if a bit loose, clothing. He tends towards jeans and tee-shirts, every hoodie he owns has animal ears attached to the hood, and he has at least three hats with the same, including long pieces on either side that end in mittens/pockets shaped like paws. He has a couple of piercings in his ears, and has a tendency to pain his nails (colors always vary).
History: The son of two parents and the brother of a girl four years his senior, Blaine was often coddled when younger. This changed quickly when his powers manifested. While his maternal grandmother had magic abilities, it had been a rare power that tended to skip generations. Blaine seemed to get the luck of the draw, being the only person in his living family with any sort of power.
This alienated him quickly, especially since his powers often involved the destruction of household items like painting, glassware, plates, and even windows on two occasions. This led to Blaine getting into quite a lot of trouble. He often found himself grounded in his room, his parents obviously afraid of him. Blaine was thankful to his sister Lanie for always being on his side, and often spending her time with Blaine when she could. They finally seemed to find solace when they discovered a couple of schools that seemed to specifically teach those with powers or who were different from normal people. Blaine had been allowed to choose which school he went to, and ended up at Alpine when he was fourteen and has been there ever since.
Other : Hex Casters are those with an affinity for darker magic, mostly creating bad luck. He can manipulate energy around something and cause them to fail/cause them to harm others (ex: Someone walking under a ladder and the ladder falling, or someone walking on a rope or wood bridge, Blaine could make it collapse. Unfortunately he doesn't have a strong control of these powers, luckily they often only manifest if he's particularly scared or angry. Blaine himself, also seems to also have a love of potions and spends a lot of his time practicing these. His older sister's name is Lanie and he talks/texts her every day.

Personality: Despite Xane's love of practical jokes, and taking things far beyond the point of them being funny, he is, generally, a good guy, sort of. He is friendly and outgoing, but he does like to tease and insult people. It's a safe bet that, if Xane is complimenting you, he's lying. The worse his comments the more he likes a person. He is only ever truly honest with a select few (in this case, Clarissa being the only one). He tends to act out and instigate. If something weird is going on, he's the first to go and see what it is.
He's rather reckless and very obviously a class clown, always making some snide remark whenever asked a question he deems particularly stupid.

A tall young man at about 6'2. He is lanky and with a preference for black jeans (often ripped at the knees) and tee-shirts, often depicting horror-movies characters. He always wears his fedora and has a preference for converse sneakers.
History: Xane grew up in a rather broken home. He was often pushed back and forth between divorced parents, married to their jobs. His parents both had telekinetic powers, and it was obvious Xane would too. They both taught him to gain basic control of his powers, but as soon as he was old enough he was shuttled of to Black Void, without much thought from his mother and father, and Xane quickly made a place for himself amongst its walls, quickly gaining friendship with Clarissa and becoming one half of a duo known for being rather destructive and careless.
Other: His abilities amount to being able to bring inanimate objects to "life". They don't, of course, become living, he can simply make them move. The larger the object the harder it is. Anything with a human form (dolls, mannequins) are easier to animate than things like pencils or chairs, (though he has made his desk dance on more than one occasion). His powers are actually a very specific form of telekinesis. He calls Clarissa "Clare-Bear". He also tends to keep a voodoo doll cell phone charm on his key-chain, and his room is actually filled with various dolls.

Personality: Studious, Clare cares quite a bit about her studies. Most people who know her only vaguely will often look to the library if they want to find her. Despite this generally serious exterior Clare is, without a doubt, best friends with Xane for a reason. She is quiet when around most, but is incredibly snarky, and has a bit of a mean streak when alone or with Xane. She's just as quick to investigate something strange, but leaves any actual work to Xane. While both are intelligent in their own ways, Clare tends to be the "brain" behind Xane's "brawn". Often pulling her friend back if something is particularly risky.

5'8, average weight. Her skin isn't particularly tan or pale. Her hair is long and while she often keeps down, it's easy to tell when she's busy because her hair finds it self in a messy bun at the back of her head. Her eyes are brown, rather plain. Her fashion varies quite a bit, tomboy-ish some days, a bit girlier others, but always comfortable.
History: Her home life was incredibly normal. Father was an elemental who could control water, her mother a normal person. They both loved and cared for Clare greatly. They were both rather disappointed in their daughter's choice of school, but hope that this might just be a phase.
