My Dad tends to really annoy me more than my friends do. In fact, my friends rarely ever do anything to annoy me on purpose, but my Dad's a totally different story. He can he such smartass at times and he knows perfectly well how annoyed I get with him but he never learns. I can practically bite his head off and he'll take it as a personal insult that I don't find remarks "funny". Another thing about my Dad is that if he upsets or offends me he never apologises for it. My older sisters are exactly the same. They NEVER apologise if they upset me and they'll NEVER admit when they're wrong and that REALLY ticks me off! I guess pig-headedness must be genetic :t--.-:

I'd probably act a lot like this horse if I were able:

Wow... I've heard that horses can scream... but I've never heard anything like that before. I hope she learns to trust humans.

Dropping in to say hello.

This topic seems to have grown since I saw it last [way back around when it first started was when I saw it last], and I would be a member here if I was a more talkative player on MS.

But you can count me as one of the therians of Magistream [silver fox/black tiger with gold stripes and no white (I know it's an odd colour, but that's how tiger appears to me :|)], even if I'm not overly conversational.

And... I would say more, but I don't know what else to say, so...

Well, see you guys around. I'll probably pop in in a little while to see if anything new happens. It seems to be a small club right now, but small can be good.

Hey there Frostfoxen! We just need people to think of things to talk about. Probably doesn't even necessarily need to be completely on the topic of otherkin/therian/furry/etc. The GSA guild keeps going off on a tangent about someone's puvia lineage. Lol.

That's ... a hard thing for me to do, really. Talk. And I mean idle talk.

I really don't engage much if at all in idle chit-chat [some RL people think I'm an Aspie, and I'm pursuing diagnosis, so it makes sense]; I just pipe up when I want to say something.

But I will try to pop in now and then to see if there's anything to give my two bits to.

That's something at least.

Did I just start a subject to talk about?

Mm, I'm an Aspie, but I've gotten decent at carrying out conversations through practice. :italian:

Still don't like to look in people's eyes while they're talking to me, though. Thankfully I don't have that problem online. XP

LTB: Taking any non-lineage original sprite Koi off your hands, will pay 10 extra gold for adult females. Must be hatched as I'm egglocked right now. Also searching for a male Niveus Enox.

I didn't, because my family wasn't exactly conversational, so no real opportunity for practise.

I'm so bad I stare at the ground and find it hard to look forward for too long I spend so much time avoiding eye contact.

Yes, Frost! you gave us a new subject to discuss.

I was having a conversation with an adult aspie the other day. We got on the subject of eye contact, and we both got to giggling about how neither of us would make contact for more than a few seconds- WHILE we were talking to each other!

We ended up discussing what methods we used to deal with it. I'm not aspie, but I have eye contact issues. I tend to look at people's nose, mouth, chin, ears, sometimes their forehead or hair. And mix it with actually turning my head away to look at what made a sound or enjoy the scenery, or just flick my eyes around.
He taught himself to memorize the scenery, and then, while actually making eye contact, will concentrate on looking at the scenery through his mind's eye. He said he was even doing it while we were chatting.
He was doing better than I was, keeping contact a lot longer than I did.

I don't like much eye contact, but I do need to see people's lips. You know how frustating can be (yes I do it too!) that people don't move their lips?

I sometimes get snapped at, when I said (mostly on the phone!) to repeat louder. Most people are happy, just a few didn't know they're speaking to someone who can't hear very well.

(and that her hearing aids are still broke!)
