I love your icon, by the way. Cardinals are awesome.
Thank goodness. Plenty of time for me to procratinate.

(Yeah, cardinals are amazing, but it's too warm for them where I live. T_T )

Less the word limit itself and more the "paying judges gold" thing is what's not sitting well (and based on the poll, I'm not alone-it's 50/50 at the time of this post). Is that still something you're allowing? Because I'm fine with you simply allowing longer entries (although again, this is the kind of thing that should have been decided beforehand because it screws over the earlier entrants, but it's your contest) but I really dislike the idea that people would have to pay you and Gaminggal gold in order to enter something longer. If this is a policy you're sticking with, that's fair, but please put it in the first post if it's really happening so I know whether to bother with my entry or not. I don't mean to be a dick about it, but quite honestly, it kind of feels (to me) like you're asking for bribes, especially if you don't use it as a prize in the contest. Even in that case, people who do pay may end up contributing to the contest further than they want to, and get angrier as a result if they don't win. It's just...ugly. :t-shrug:

As I mentioned before, I know that it can be difficult to write stories when dealing with a hard cutoff. The fee is in place to encourage people to be concise, but if someone feels that they need an extra ten words to make a compelling point, I would like to leave that option open. Besides, people who enter entries longer than 3000 words know quite well what they're getting into. The people who did submit earlier all had entries well under 3000 words, and so far no one from that group has has voiced any concerns over the relaxed word limit policy. Besides, if they want to take advantage of the policy, they're perfectly welcome to resubmit. I don't believe this equates to bribery, because everyone is following the same rules.

I'm sorry we won't be receiving an entry from you. I hope that you will reconsider. I wish you the best of luck with all your writing endeavors.

I ment I would keep it as short as my mind will allow it. It all deepends on the idea 'I have in mind. If it gets too long, I will do something cool with it.

Looking for Donis on my wishlist. See my profile for details on what I have to offer.
Sarge is one of my Keep Guardians along with Durakro.

I think I may take a shot at this, so I'll try to start this weekend if I can get my lazy self around to it. I haven't figured out which prompt to do yet, though I am thinking about doing the shiny one. Would you like for me to send a link to my story as a sample of my writing? (and if so please consider the latest few chapters since the first several chapters I was only doing to pass the time and was not really putting as much effort as I could into it). Also, when is the dead line for the contest?
Edit: Also, will the fined money go towards one of the prizes for the winners? I think that would be a good idea, or else those who were not mentioned in any of the categories will receive a consolation prize for at least submitting their work.

You only need to submit a writing sample if you want to be a judge. Otherwise, feel free to just submit at any time. The deadline is February 28th.

So far no fine has been collected yet, but I am working on getting more prizes.

What do you mean, 'What's this leading too?'

It's a writing contest. You make an entry by using one of the story prompts. Then, the judges choose the best entries and you could win a prize of a donation creature.

This post you've made, Thunderfang, makes no sense on this topic. Unless, you are completely clueless on what this contest is...
