Symie's Christmas poem writing contest (Prize= Light Raiju)

Christmas Eve, little kids looking out the window,
Seeing if Santa has come.
When everyone is asleep,
Santa comes down the chimney with toys,
He puts the presents under the shining tree and fills up the stockings,
Then flies to other hopeful houses,
Rudolph leading the way,
All throughout the silent night.

Ok I'm horrible at poetry but here's mine

The smell of cinnamon is in the air
With Christmas cookies everywhere!
The presents stack high above the tree,
Where they are so high,it's hard to see.
With the golden angel on the top
It takes your breath away and makes you stop.
Christmas is not about toys,or presents, or even money,
It's a time for family to be together for all to see.

nipping little fingers.
thumping of the heart,
christmas day is near.
mother and father though they were
sound asleep,
but with the house
as quiet as a mouse,
the children listen for the bells.
they come, they come eventually,
but by that time,
the children listen for their dreams.

blood rushing,
early in the morning.
children rushing,
early in the morning.
santa has come,
the time has come.
thump, thump, thump, thump, thump!
down the stairs they go,
skipping along, humming a song,
christmas day is here.
church bells ring,
the choir sings.
children squeal in delight,
as the presents are now in sight.
family laughs,
family smiles.
lovers huddle around the fire.

laughing in the cold,
snow diamonds glitter the fluttering eyelashes,
a white christmas
this year.

We've been at it all day,
Though the snow is inviting,
No time to stop and play,
We get to our writing.

Green, red and gold,
Our house is sure bright,
Silver and blue, so bold,
And this the last night.

Christmas eve is sure fun,
But the wait is so long,
We wave goodbye to the sun,
As it sets, we all sing a song.

A song about a man,
Who we'd all love to meet,
Then off we ran,
To tuck in our feet.

For the sun has long set,
And it is time for bed,
and you can just bet,
Santa's packing his sled.

A soft sighing wind passes by the small house,
On it caries the coldness that can only be the chill of winter,
It brings forth slow falling flakes,
The quiet fall quickly turns into a flurry of white,
Smiling, the girl in black sighs,
Longing to live for once,
Smiling at the untold joke of her life,
she sighs,
If only she could go outside...
