Re: Knitting the Eweniverse Guild
I can see how that would happen. I had a hard time, also, trying to keep everything separated. I ended up making tabs for each of my generations to try and keep them in a some what order.
Hopefully you get through all that without too many battle wounds :p

I've figured a way to check, but it is rather time-consuming and I do not have the patience right now.

Ouch. Well, hopefully you eventually get through it. I cannot even pretend to imagine how exhausting doing something like that would beMistyoC wrote:I've figured a way to check, but it is rather time-consuming and I do not have the patience right now.

Re: Knitting the Eweniverse Guild
O I will. It involves going through each mate's descendants and checking if any are descended from others. For instance (unnamed) has 2 WJ offspring. I check the later dated one and click through the WJ line to see if I find the earlier one. If I do, then it and its descendants are inbred and I move them. I started to do this at one point and realised after an hour that I had moved some of the wrong ones and did not feel like going back through and finding out which ones, so gave it up for the time being. When I do go back to it, I'll make notes on which are inbred and move them after. lolImperialism wrote:Ouch. Well, hopefully you eventually get through it. Re: Knitting the Eweniverse Guild
Had the same problem with my Sun Callistos. Was trying to find the highest gen non-inbred member so I could continue the line, but after checking about 20 of them I said to heck with it.. I'll start over.

Re: Knitting the Eweniverse Guild
Oh no. Good thing I don't have that problem. But I need to sort all my unbred wollies by generation as soon as I'm back home, and that won't be easy either. But that isn't going to happen before September. I'm still abroad, and only online from my phone. This tiny display is ruining my eyes (for knitting ).

Re: Knitting the Eweniverse Guild
I have to admit, I am glad that I kept mine all separate. Even with my regular breeding, my pairs are mates for life. Sometimes it can be a curse to have that though lol I have messed up a couple times and it has driven me absolutely insane.
I wish you the best of luck trying to get it figured out If I could help, I would.

Re: Knitting the Eweniverse Guild
I managed to keep all of my Woolies and their mates in order so no inbreeding. (Sometimes hoarding critters to use for lineage breeding can help.)
I also found it really helpful to name everyone as soon as they bred for the 1st time.

Re: Knitting the Eweniverse Guild
I was more interested in numbers than neatness. lol Breeding on my tablet from work contributed to the confusion as well. I didn't have enough unlineaged Ariessas to do a mate for each WJ, so I did duplicate some. I tried to not breed them to their descendants, but it did happen sometimes.Thyme wrote:I managed to keep all of my Woolies and their mates in order so no inbreeding. I'll get them straightened out eventually. :-)

Re: Knitting the Eweniverse Guild
I did the same. Mine definitely do not have very good names. In fact, they are horrible. But I named them as soon as I could along with a mate (that were named with no thought process at all) lolThyme wrote:I managed to keep all of my Woolies and their mates in order so no inbreeding.
