Re: White Elk Gifters Guild
Shop to just gather requests? Why not a thread in Merchant District, with reference to this thread?

Also good. A few permanent giveaway threads are in the shop section though, does anyone know if there is something specific in the rules?

Re: White Elk Gifters Guild
I think any long time threads should go in shops and anything that does not fit goes in Merchant District.Seleya wrote:Also good. A few permanent giveaway threads are in the shop section though, does anyone know if there ios something specific in the rules?
Anyway, we could decide the points/ rules to add, simple ones, for example:
- The give away is only for those who didn't get these creatures or wish to have a mate for the one/s they already possess
- The thread is not for hoarders
- Money should not exchange hands at any given time as they are gifts
- What is gifted should be kept with them, not to be sold at any point
- A request for all those who request an egg to help in hatching them
Just throwing ideas ...

Re: White Elk Gifters Guild
Agreed.
So
#1 : don't request if you have two or more (of each kind? They are different after all)
#2 : they are free but must not be sold
#3 : please help the eggs hatch so that the breeders aren't egg-locked.

Point # 1 - Yes, not more than two or more of each kind because they are different.Seleya wrote:Agreed.

Points 2 and 3 - Yes.
Plus anything else that would be useful to make the thread a success that others may suggest

I have a male collared (bell) elk named B P O I. His creature number is 1659118. I really like the idea of giving the offspring to the people that didn't get one.

Ok, then, just to be safe, I'll PM a moderator to be sure where the request thread should go and then set it up.
I'll write a note in the first post telling that it will take a while to go through requests, since the elks are still hatching /growing, should we have a number of available slots, let's say ten, for a time, until the guild's membership grows?

Re: White Elk Gifters Guild
I think having limited slots is a good idea to start, and we can always expand later. Otherwise we'd get so many requests we'd probably have to shut down and start over.Seleya wrote:Ok, then, just to be safe, I'll PM a moderator to be sure where the request thread should go and then set it up.

Re: White Elk Gifters Guild
Contacting a mod would be good, but first will have to decide whether it is going to be continuous or not for them to decide which folder it fits IMO. I don't think requests should be closed. The 3rd post in the thread (which I understand you are allocating to jot down the usernames of people who request these creatures), can be easily edited to keep including the names. If the requests become overwhelming (if we find it difficult to meet the number of requests quickly), then temporary closure of the thread would be ok I think.Seleya wrote:Ok, then, just to be safe, I'll PM a moderator to be sure where the request thread should go and then set it up.

All these are JMO of course
