Later that evening, Raven was relaxing with Aiden in the clearing of camp and enjoying the crisp night air as well as the sight of the stars and moon in the sky.
"It's a really nice night," she said after a few minutes of companionable silence between them while she also rested her head on his shoulder.

Tami had been called away earlier and was finishing up healing the last of the fighters that had been injured during their fights. She had had a fair amount of patients but it hadn't been too overwhelming or exhausting than she had first thought it might've been. After she had healed the last one, she turned her attention to Kieran and smiled happily at him.
"So where should we go to relax?" she asked with the smile still on her face and with her attention still on him.

Aiden had his arm wrapped around Raven and was gently stroking the smooth skin of her arm while he looked up at the sky and soaked in the feeling of her closeness to him. In the distance, further into the camp, he could hear singing drunks and a few other fights going on. But where he and Raven were sitting, it was peaceful and quiet.
"It is a nice night." he replied to Raven "I could not have asked for a better night to finally be with you."

Kieran stood patiently while Tami healed, watching with never ending fascination at how she healed every wound that came to her.
When she finally finished he wrapped his arms around her and pulled her close, giving her a kiss before answering her question "Hmmm...I don't know. Where would you like to spend the rest of our evening?"

"Me neither," Raven said in reply with a content smile on her face as she continued to look up at the stars in the sky and enjoyed the feeling of Aiden stroking the skin on her arm. "I'm glad to finally be with you."
After she said this last statement, she lifted her head from where she had it resting on his shoulder, turned his head slightly towards hers, and kissed him softly on the lips before pulling back again afterward.

Tami wrapped her arms around Kieran's neck and kissed him back before he pulled back afterward and she heard his reply to the question that she had asked earlier.
"Maybe the lake?" she asked with her head tilted a bit to the side with a curious expression on it. "It's a really nice night and I bet the water would be very pretty with the stars and moon reflected on its surface."

[You are welcome for the dog. Yes! I saw that your birthday was coming up! I am in a bit of a quandary as to what I could give you.... I'm sure I will come up with something fantastic, but it might not be something to cross off your wishlist.]

Aiden sighed as Raven kissed him, and he moved up his hand and stroked her raven black hair before she pulled back. He smiled at her and then pulled her into a warm hug, holding her close, his heart beating more strongly than before as he pulled her in next to him.
"Raven, I need to talk to you about...a hut." he said "As you know, Kieran and I have lived in the same hut together since before mother died. We, Kieran and I, decided yesterday that he and Tami should have the hut." he paused for a moment before continuing "Which leaves me with this question: do you want us to live in your hut, or do you want me to build you a new one?" he pulled back and looked at her.

Kieran smiled and nodded, entwining his fingers around Tami's "That sounds like a wonderful idea." he said "Let's go before anyone else shows up."
He led her outside and quickly hurried outside of camp, pulling her behind him. He could feel a tight, energetic excitement building up in his chest which made him smile brightly and walk quickly. He was so happy to finally call Tami "his own". After all these years, they were finally together as mates. He was possibly the happiest lycan in camp.

"We can live in mine and then you won't have to go through the trouble of making a new one," Raven said in reply to Aiden's question after she heard it as well as the statement that he had said before.
She was still happy with living in the hut that she's been in since her parents died since it was still going on strong and not showing any signs of getting old just yet. She hugged him back and wrapped her arms around his neck as she enjoyed being close to him like the way they were.

Tami smiled back at him before nodding and following after him to the woods and to the path that led to the lake. She was extremely happy to now finally being his mate after many years of just being friends. She had always wanted to be his mate, but knew that she had to be older in order to officially be called that and now that she was, she was overflowing with excitement and wanted to jump around and act like a pup again.

[What have you planned for your birthday?]

When they were about half way to the lake, Kieran shifted into his wolf form and spun in a tight circle, showing his happiness. He yipped excitedly and wagged his tail, looking up at Tami as he bowed playful in front of her.

Aiden sighed "It's going to be different: Kieran and I not living together anymore." he noted. He hoped it would not be a hard adjustment for either of them to make. Surely, since they both now officially had mates, it would be easy to transition.

((well my mom and I went out to an Italian restaurant near us called Bi Ba's after work, we met up there, and then afterward we went back home and had cake and I opened my presents; nothing too extravagant or special but it was still fun ))

Raven listened to everything that Aiden said and, although she couldn't relate to what he was going through since her parents and only sibling were dead and didn't have anyone to share it with, she felt a bit sorry for him. She hugged him a little bit more out of comfort and tried to come up with something that she could say in reply.
"Well I'm sure it won't be too different since you'll both still be here in the tribe and not far away so you'll still see each other when we go on patrol and meet up at our meeting place," she said after a few minutes of thinking and stayed in the position that she got in and was comfortable with.

Tami giggled at the sight of Kieran acting like an excited pup before shifting herself to her own wolf form. She bowed playfully back before tackling him and then getting up again and running in the direction of the lake. A few minutes later, she stopped, and then turned around to see if he was following her. She wanted to race him the rest of the way there to see who was the fastest.

[Aw. It sounds like it was a nice birthday. About like mine was this year: easy-going, quiet, spent with family...]

Aiden wrapped his arms around Raven and held her closely "No. I suppose it won't be too different." he kissed the top of her head "I'm glad for the change though." he cocked his head slightly as a soft, romantic song began to play from a reed pipe somewhere in camp.

Kieran laughed as Tami tackled him, then he raced close behind her until she stopped and looked back at him. He pulled up beside her and wagged his tail, knowing what she wanted: a race. He lined up with her and tightened the muscles in his back legs, getting ready for the sprint.
"Take your mark. Get ready....get set...." he waited for her to give the signal to bolt.

"I'm glad for it too," Raven said in reply to Aiden's statement about him being glad for the change before hearing a soft romantic melody playing from camp.
She blushed a bit before asking after a few minutes, "Want to dance?"

Tami got in position for the race and when Kieran started to say the beginnings of the statement for a race she waited until he trailed off at the end and then said when it was apparent that he was waiting for her to do just that, "Go!"
After she said that, she took off running with the night breeze blowing through her fur and enjoying it doing that.
