hmmmm, what about....ok this is obvious but i know there has to be at least one person in this guild who likes bleach.Niverdia wrote:I started watching Blood+, but the characters and the story didn't move me, so I dropped it after ~20 episodes.RikkiTheDark wrote:what about something like blood + or angel of darkness?
I don't mind dark, bloody series, but they have to be very well-done and have an edge of believability to catch my interest.

Re: The Anime Guild-open!
Alrighty, hello to our new members!
As for picking a new anime to watch, we have a few suggestions:
Blood-C-A horror/fantasy by Clamp
Steins Gate-A sci fi about time travel
Usagi Drop-A story of a man raising a young girl
Pandora Hearts-A dark fantasy about a boy who is sucked into a strange dimension
Kamisama Dolls -A fantasy about people who wield supernatural weapons
No. 6 - A sci fi dystopia with some shonen-ai elements
I'm going to DQ Nuraruhyon No Mago Sennen Makyou because it's a lengthy shonen show with no true end in sight, and the same for Bleach. I'm DQing Blue Exorcist because I've seen it and I know a few others have as well.
Any more suggestions? We can start a poll!

Terribly short? I generally prefer shows that are wrapped up with 12-26 episodes.RikkiTheDark wrote:i have a few more! durarara!!!! i love that one so much!! and deathnote also, there both good but death note is terribley shot with only 40 episodes.
IMHO, Death Note should have ended with L's death.
And I've had Durarara! sitting on my laptop since winter but haven't been in the mood to start watching it yet.
Whatever challenge the guild is making, I'm not joining in this one, because I'm currently challenging myself to clean out the laptop of all unseen movies/shows. :tard:

Re: The Anime Guild-open!
Steins;Gate seemed pretty good to me, as did Kamisama Dolls. The art was okay and it's still ongoing, so there's not really a spoiler threat. I've watch Pandora before, but I definitely wouldn't mind watching it again. Durarara! has been suggested to me for a while, so apparently it's pretty good too. Maybe that should go up on the list as well?
If anyone doesn't mind ecchi, perhaps you might want to take a look at Seikon no Qwaser? It's a bit too much fanservice, but it's still pretty good.
Cartoon Network completely ruined Death Note for me. I watch an episode and I probably won't touch on it again.

Spoiler
I swear, though, that girl has THE most voluptuous chest in the anime world. Other than maybe the cover art for Freezing. But it's a contest. But if anyone wants to watch, you'll find out pretty quickly that the author's obsessed with girls' chests. They made the focus of the anime half on the personification of the elements (Like Hetalia, but only with Copper, Zinc, etc.), and half on perverted randomness.

i kept looking up angel of darkness trying to get a link to it but i can't get one,can anyone help me please?
Re: The Anime Guild-open!
Alrighty, I put up a poll. We can have up to ten choices, so if anyone can think of something to fill up the last slot by all means do so. Remember, whatever we don't pick, we can always watch next round.
