Re: The Maker's Guild
Christmas baking underway! Sugar cookies: check! I'm on my second batch of gingerbread cookies as I type. (The shortening is being heated, so I took a second to sit at the computer.) No gingerbread house this year, though, as I have too much clutter to roll and cut the pieces I need.

Re: The Maker's Guild
I'm done with baking and decorating cookies this year. We made shortbread cookies, gingerbread cookies plus tiny gingerbread houses.
Also, I pimped the IKEA Duktig play kitchen for my older one. Can't wait to see her play with it... but we have decided to give it to her some time after new year, because the grandparents got her a dollhouse and we don't want her to drown in to many gifts.

I did my gingerbread men this year with 2 two year olds. The decorating didn't go too well, but it was way more fun than making them on my own.

When decorating with small children, it is advised that the adults not want the cookies to turn out neat! loloceanmist wrote:I did my gingerbread men this year with 2 two year olds. The decorating didn't go too well, but it was way more fun than making them on my own.

I do a few crafts myself. I knit, crochet, spin, cross stitch, quilt, sew, bake and cook. Here are a few Christmas gifts I did this year.

Re: The Maker's Guild
Ooooh, I love the scarves with the lil kitten. What a cute pattern. Aww.
And the owl hat is so sweet.
I think Wolfsister did a scarf with the Star Wars pattern too. You two are amazing. I could never knit or crochet something like that. I don't have neither the patience nor the talent. In elementary school we where once supposed to knit a little teddy bear, I never finished even the front side. And don't ask me about my crocheted potholders. *g*

Re: The Maker's Guild
I should have looked in this section of the forum a long time ago.
Meh, better late than never.
I make jewelry that I try to sell with a friend. Sadly handmade items don't sell well in my country.
A while ago I made a basic minimalist bracelet.
Some turtle earrings with lava beads combined with glass beads.
During a market I made these teeth bracelets with a anchor as a toggle lock.
Some long tassle earrings
And a chocker I finished a few days ago.
*edit
Seeing what people can do with knitting and crochet always amazes me. The few times I tried to knit I made a knot that needed siccors to be fixed.
Cooking is better suited for me. Though it never lasts long enough to take a picture off.

Great minds think alike--I made the same star wars scarf for my brother! I did different Aurebesh sections, though.aethelwhyne wrote:I do a few crafts myself. I knit, crochet, spin, cross stitch, quilt, sew, bake and cook. Here are a few Christmas gifts I did this year.

If we have a meet-up, we should have a designated outfit so we can readily identify each other! I nominate these:
I think Morg would look great!
