Re: Terra Exillium
How were we still on that page the entire time? Anyway, I will probably show up frequently because I only go on about 15 threads, including all the click forums.

Re: Terra Exillium
you don't have to. just go through about a third of them, and beli and I can handle the rest, unless you want to.

Re: Terra Exillium
Do you know how to roleplay planetyonx? Sleipnir mentioned a roleplay academy, so that's why I'm asking.

*has returneeeed! ...mostly comatose, though* I'm okay with the introductions for now; there generally aren't too many new ones at a time. In... *checks* seven or eight days I'll be leaving for a week, though, and then help will definitely be needed; I won't have any internet access at all.

@beli: yes I do know the basics of role playing, but I do not know all the terms like OOC and mary-sue.

I don't care about OOC and I don't know what's mary-sue (sounds stupid), I just want to know do you know how to RP in the third person? For example:planetyonx wrote:@beli: yes I do know the basics of role playing, but I do not know all the terms like OOC and mary-sue.
Spoiler
"There you are. We have a new mission." Ga-Shallu pointed at the papers he was holding. "The reward is not big, but this should be interesting anyways. We need to investigate a small caravan which is moving from the route L-16 to W-1. I'll tell you more about it when we set off." Ga-Shallu quickly examined the papers again, and started walking towards the ship. He stopped for a moment. "If you are ready, let's go."
Spoiler
I came next to him and said "What are you doing?!.." He just looked at me and started running.

Re: Terra Exillium
It is third person because each person in the rp would have to know who is who and it would get really confusing unless you have been following it the whole time and there are only about 4 people. Why?
Re: Terra Exillium
Mary Sue= a (female) character who more or less takes over a story, and that all the other characters adore even when there's no reason to. Gary Stu/Marty Stu is the male version. Basically, they're what happen when the author starts doing a little too much wish-fulfillment and not anything else. Bella from Twilight gets called it a lot, since all the characters around her adore her for no particularly obvious reason, and because she looks really similar to the author.
Probably Mary Sues aren't very common in roleplays, if nothing else because any would-be Mary Sue author can't control the other characters. Really ridiculously lucky or overpowered characters would probably be the equivalent.
