A few droplets from the star-shaped bottle is enough, as the stone cracks neatly in half, revealing another strange purple stone, which is much smoother and smaller. As you look at it hopefully, you think that there is no more to it. You shouldn't have expected so much, anyway, from the old woman.

Sighing, you stretch and yawn. It's been a long day, and you want to get in bed as soon as possible. Then a small meowing noise startles you. Where did it come from? You don't even keep a cat! You look for the purple orb, but it isn't there anymore. Instead, in its place is a purple kitten. You smile as it snuggles up to you, purring. It could be a great companion for the rest of your turtlies.

This particular species of cat is called a gemlix. It is a rare and special type of cat, and whenever it is around other creatures, especially turtlies, gemlix sometimes make rare gems appear, which people can trade in for other rare objects. Blue Gemlix produce sapphires, Green Gemlix produce jade, Yellow Gemlix produce citrines, Orange Gemlix produce fire opals, Red Gemlix produce rubies, Purple Gemlix produce amethysts, and the rarest Gemlix, Albinos, produce diamonds or crystals.
