Well, it's kind of a skeleton and a ghost simultaneously. Like...a black skeleton with a grey misty stuff in its ribcage.
Rotten corpses can only be summoned when the necromancer is using their spell on an actual, physical rotten corpse. What happens here is one of those ghosty skeletons possesses the body, instead of the body just coming back to life on its own.
