Yeah, I'm having to pretty much make myself care enough to get up to go to class. I had to force myself out of bed this morning for biology. I wanted to lay in bed all day.. and then I wanted food so I had to get up.GrowlingCupcake wrote:Same... I'm sorry you guys are sad! But just think, September means the start of fall, when the weather gets cooler and nature turns so pretty. Blue skies! Sun! Leaves turning red and gold and purple!
I feel like I'm slimming down a little. I refuse to weigh myself more than once every other week (or more), so I can't be sure. I attribute it to finally getting some sun and being done with work-stress for now.
Something really exciting happened the other day - I completely forgot to eat! Which sounds weird and kinda unhealthy, but I haven't literally forgotten about food in months! I was actually in the middle of the simple part of a project for Halloween this year. It was just carving and sanding, but I got so involved that a couple hours passed before I knew it.
I have plenty of other projects planned, so maybe having something to focus on will distract the bored=food habit. Anybody else love decorating for Halloween?

Its ok I had Burger King for dinner last night. it was naughty - but sooo damn good
but I have lost 400g this past week so happy about that, need to try for 500+ this coming week, so I have done the shopping, spent the money and have healthly food in fridge/cupboard. So should help me...the cake I baked won't though ROFL
Thanks GC - I shall. but started seeing someone about this stuff so maybe this will help.

Re: Weight Management Guild
Idaho = crappy fall.
All our native trees are pine trees and sage brush. I think there's some cottonwoods and aspens that are native. Everything else was planted by humans. So, it's either evergreen, or it just turns brown, and then the wind blows the leaves off. In a good year, we might get 2 days of nice colors.
I do like the cooling temperatures, but fall also means drizzle here, which it did yesterday.
However, in better news- I weighed myself at my parents' house last weekend and I was down to 257! I haven't been below 260 in over a year. We'll see if I can keep it coming off, for the past 10 years, I seem to plateau (or valley? since I'm trying to go lower?) at 252 and I can NEVER get below it!
Of course... having extremely limited food choices at the moment is helping. I'm now out of anything remotely meatlike (except for 2 slices of sandwich turkey). I'm almost out of fruit. I have some milk and eggs and cheese, and a bit of pasta (including a lot of Ramen) and some Ricearoni... and some Chef Boyardee ravioli, but I'm saving those for lunches at work. I can't eat them during training, because we're not on site and don't have a microwave or anything.
We'll see if I can afford more food next week when I get paid. I applied for food stamps, but the stupid person supposed to fill out an employment confirmation form hasn't done so yet, so my case is on hold! ::headdesk:: It's a good thing I wasn't counting on having food stamps over the weekend, or I'd be busting some heads at work. As it is, I'm afraid that I may be making too much to qualify... which sucks. I think the government needs to get their heads out of their asses and actually take a look at the poverty level- or take into consideration that just because a person earns X amount and their housing is Y amount does not mean that they have X-Y as disposable income. It means that X-Y = pay for transportation (car payment and gas. I haven't even seen a single taxi or bus in this city), medical bills, accumulated debt, including the collectors threatening to sue and garnish wages.
Yeah... it's been a rough week for Hawke.

Re: Weight Management Guild
I'm sorry you guys are having a tough time be it with your eating or bills. Hopefully it will start getting better soon for everyone!
Now I feel bad posting that I have finally lost 1 whole pound! It's taken me 2 weeks to do it but I am now 164 pounds! I has been hard on me with not eating as much as I normally do but I am doing it.
I had lunch at mc Donalds the other day and I had a small smoothie and I got 2 grilled chicken snack wraps with no dressing. I only ate one of the wraps and had the smoothie and took the other one home for lunch the next day, and by time I left I was actually full. Now before I would be able to eat a triple whopper, fries and a drink before I was full, well maybe I forced myself to finish it all because I didn't want to throw it out. LOL But anyway......my point is I was extremely shocked that those 2 little things filled me up like that. Maybe my stomach is finally starting to shrink a bit so less food will start making me full.
ok I am done with my rant for now.LMAO

I haven't weighed myself in over a week, so I don't know if I've lost or gained. I walk at least a mile every day to and from class, not counting the stairs to get to class, so I should be losing some. I'm trying to eat better since I'm trying to eat more from our dining hall than eating out or even at my own house. At my own apartment I have liberties of what I cook and I lean towards the unhealthy every time.

Re: Weight Management Guild
I think I am slacking with weighing myself and I may be slacking a bit with my eating as well. But I don't think I am doing to terrible. Its just hard to watch what I eat though. but in 3 weeks I have only had 1 slice of pizza! normally I would eat 3 or 4 slices of the dried out pizza at work a day. LOL So that's a goal for me at the very least. lol
