Symie's Christmas poem writing contest (Prize= Light Raiju)

[rsmpat]

Christmas means Aunts in the back bedroom with Mother and Grandma whispering to Santa,
I wish I could hear;
Christmas means a little bell tinkling, must be Santa, the children promised they'd stay in bed,
they were told after the bell, they can join Daddy and I by the tree;
Christmas means grandchildren running into the house eyes fixed on the tree,
we see the delight that shines in their eyes;
Christmas means one great grandchild asking if her tiny brother and she will be helping me open the presents,
and I see so many Christmases in my eyes as I look in the mirror.

Boxes and bows and bags,
each covered with greedy little hands.

Brother and a sister work on the nativity,
"No, the Goat goes here!"
"The Lamb goes there!"
"The Chicken," Brother said with a giggle,
"goes... here!"

Glistening, glistening trees,
caked with white, delicate
frost.

Laughter, smiles, and happy faces,
all collide in one occasion.

Christmas time... is here.

RukiaAlbarn- I am so happy you wrote it in spanish. It's unique, and I am surprised you wrote it all on your own!

JennaAngel- A way I looked at your poem was by looking on how you have improved since the summer contest! Both poems were great but you have improved so much. I am proud to say that you're doing a great job.

From what I gather about the first question, Symbol and Raneth have both said that it's acceptable to edit your poem. Is that right, Symbol? I just want to clarify because I might want to edit later as well.
