I figured I'd answer this here because I'm not quite ready to post a reply yet but I didn't want to post just OOC in the thread either.
EDIT: OKAY! I thought through my thoughts! So anyhooha, the only problem I have with this story is the Karayas not being related. If they're not related, what's stopping one of them from killing off the other seven and taking control of everything? After 4,000+ years it would be bound to happen. With the family tie, it at least could explain some reason as to why they literally haven't killed each other and instead, they used the families to metaphorically kill each other for all these years. Like chess.
That's my only issue with that idea. I think they need to be actual siblings.
