General
Legend and mystery shroud the vastness of Ixan Jungle and the different remains of ancient civilizations lying hidden beneath the lush forest. Scholars have recently uncovered a small temple filled with carvings of tree-dwelling creatures. The creatures were very clearly highly respected and the ancient people who lived in the area appear to have had the creatures with them constantly. The creatures are depicted as having long tails, some bushy and some sleeker, and being perched or nesting on branches. The most interesting thing about the carvings, however, are the ones that show these creatures leading people through the jungle and into great underground caverns. The people with more knowledge of the history of the Ixan Jungle have recognized the creatures in the carvings as being the ancestors of present day ixan peres and xoctol ratus - both creatures that seem to be compelled to help anyone around them and to bring balance and harmony around them.
Egg
A perky tail pokes through the shell of this egg and swishes enthusiastically around.
Hatchling
Your egg has hatched into a fluffy constantly chittering ball of fur. The young ixan pere enjoys climbing up anything it can get its paws on, including furniture, curtains, you, and all other creatures. Strangely even the most secluded, withdrawn and aggressive creatures seem to tolerate and even enjoy this activity. When the hatchling is not practicing its climbing abilities it usually spends its time sleeping curled into a tight tiny ball or spread out on its back with an occasional twitch of a back leg giving an indication of the dreams the baby is having.
Adult
Your ixan pere hatchling has grown into a sleek adult. It still likes to climb onto furniture, though it no longer approaches your other companion creatures for these purposes. Instead your ixan pere likes to perch on your shoulder using its long tail to balance itself when you move. The creature likes to participate in everything you do always helping you reach items on high shelves and pluck fruit from trees. A constant soft chittering sound indicates that the ixan pere is very content, and the sound can be heard even when the animal curls around your neck to nap.
