Frozen Male Hatchling
Name: unnamed
Species: Taiyang
Birthday: Tuesday, February 13, 2018
Owner: Rosehill
Element: Light
Taiyang hatchlings are more fluff than dog and spend most of their time sleeping in giant piles, especially outside in the sunlight. Rambunctious and quick-witted even as hatchlings, they need their magi to be firm when raising them, in order to produce protective but not aggressive adults. Taiyang usually choose one or two magi as their special companion to favour and obey, and this begins in their earliest days. Although they don't develop the gentle sun glow until they're old enough to protect themselves, they are still warm and will happily curl up with their family - taiyang and magi alike - for cuddles.
Taiyang are more commonly known as sun dogs, nicknamed for the warmth and light they give off. Originally used to guard flocks of ariessa on village farms, taiyang have become a common companion for magi travelling around the world, especially those looking to go up north. Protective and loyal, they also love to cuddle no matter what their age, and will happily snuggle up with their magi to provide warmth. On dark nights, taiyang are invaluable due to their gentle glow, and are often seen through the Keep during the dragging days of winter's end, cheering up those who are waiting for spring.
