Frozen Female Hatchling
Name: unnamed
Species: Silvan Tamina
Birthday: Wednesday, August 14, 2019
Owner: Rosehill
Element: Neutral
Tamina hatchlings, even when very young, are fiercely independent, and it will take a significant amount of time before they will allow themselves to be approached by anyone other than their magi. They will regard their magi, too, with some distrust, and only after understanding that their magi has their best interests at heart will these small hatchlings begin to trust them. Tamina hatchlings play very rambunctiously with each other, and it is considered by many who watch them interact that their play together is not play at all, but rather dominance displays and delineation of boundaries. Indeed, if hatchlings are left with each other long enough, they will each establish small territories that the others will not cross.
These creatures range from the northernmost Silva forests to the cold northern wastes of Boreus, and their coat colors range from a reddish brown to a pale white the farther north one finds them. Those that live in Silva forest tend to hunt in trees, dropping on their prey from above like a large cat would, while the variant that lives in Boreus are swift and agile runners that will chase down their prey like lone wolves. Their willful natures are unique, and it is extremely uncommon to see these creatures interact. Even during the breeding season, females raise their young alone, and as soon as the hatchlings are able to walk, the mother leaves them. As a result, these creatures are rare, but a tamina that lives to adulthood will be incredibly cunning and intelligent, with a keen understanding of what it takes to survive.
