Element: Neutral
Fully grown chiolin are large birds, reaching up to three-quarters of the height of the average magi. If fully raised among magi and other creatures, they will be distant but not mean, preferring to spend their time slightly apart from the group. However, they do enjoy dancing and can be enticed into it by the flashing of lights, especially from arkai. They don't generally raise their own hatchlings, preferring to leave them to be taken care of by other creatures or magi.
Chiolin appear only once a year, during end of year festivities where arkai are present. Attracted to the firelights that arkai produce during their mating dances, chiolin often leave their own eggs behind when they depart in the morning - in an arkai nest, if possible. Although beautiful, chiolin tend to be standoffish and can deliver a nasty peck with their long beaks. They also seem to enjoy attempting to outdance arkai, though they can't breed with the other birds.
