For the longest of times, people believed yirimis to be born out of flowers. This belief is attributed to their homes, as the adult yirimis lay their eggs and grow their hatchlings inside bell-shaped flowers. Adult yirimis are active creatures, not having lost their juvenile playfulness. They live overall light-hearted lives. They love to chuck small balls made out of pollen at each other, having fun while doing so. Whenever other creatures are around, the yirimis flutter around them, leaving yellow stains of pollen on their bodies. Yirimis are the most curious around humans. They will hide inside pockets, eager to learn more about the people who cross their lands. If a yirimi is fond of a specific person, it will grow small flowers and present them as a token of friendship. Nothing seems to upset these little creatures, although there are stories of people being tricked by angry yirimis.

Yirimis are creatures no bigger than hummingbirds, delicate looking and graceful. Forest yirimis can be found only in the hidden hearts of forests, colorful flowers claimed as their homes. Less common than their forest cousins are the wild fey yirimis, said to live only near the waterfalls of Dorr. They can easily be mistaken as butterflies as they flutter from flower to flower, drinking nectar. They are playful creatures, always curious about humans. Unafraid to approach kind magis, the yirimis will pinch their cheeks or hide in their hair, curious to learn more about these foreign beings that visit their lands. It is believed the yirimis lure travelers to wander in forests until the end of their days, but they are benevolent creatures. Although they take great interest in humans and are happy to have them as guests in their lands for extended periods, these creatures merely direct lost travelers to their destination. Those who meet the yirimis speak of their capability of making wishes come true, but no one was ever able to prove this. However, they do have magical powers. Friends of nature, the yirimis create flowers as they see fit, always in need of more of the bell-shaped flowers they love to use as homes.
