An adult pulsedragon can be an imposing sight when it suddenly appears. Despite their size, they tend to move quietly - and they can also be surprisingly quick when they need to be. Zamin pulsedragons tend to appear more often during times of drought, where their colouring can help them blend in with dry and dying foliage. Some magi theorize that the drought is also what calls them down from the mountains, so that their singing and the resulting pulse can heal the crops. As adults, zamin pulsedragons are rarely seen with their hatchlings, preferring to leave them in the safety of their mountain clutches. If a travelling pulsedragon happens to meet another adult pulsedragon, they will both politely greet each other with a song, and then each continue in separate directions.
Large and solitary, zamin pulsedragons are an unusual sight in most areas. When they do venture down from their mountains, they often head for rural areas, especially farms. In return for an offering from the farmers, zamin pulsedagons may start to sing. As they sing, they draw in magic, visible in the glow within the membranes of their wings. When this light is strongest, they release it in the pulse that gives them their name. Most of the time this pulse is helpful, easing sickness in crops or people and bringing good health. Occasionally, however, if the pulsedragon has been treated badly, this pulse can easily destroy homes and tear apart the land.
