Before you see a dazzlecap rana hatchling, you will hear its croak. The hatchlings are tiny and let their presence known whenever anyone approaches so they won't be mistaken for mushrooms and accidentally stepped on. In any other circumstance, the dazzlecap rana hatchlings are very quiet. They prefer the sounds of nature, more content with listening to the various noises the other creatures make instead of joining them with cheerful croaks. They are very active and will explore their dwelling place from one end to another daily, checking if any new plants bloomed or if anything withered. If people are nearby, the dazzlecap rana hatchlings will make various plants glow, wishing to mesmerize those who are around.
The dazzlecap ranas are as powerful as they are cute. They are favored by those who have an affinity for the life element but also by those passionate about spelunking. Magic-wise, dazzlecap ranas' magic influences the growth of nature, helping plants thrive even in the darkest and coldest environments. They make it possible for flowers to bloom inside caves or basements, for plants to continue to grow as if it’s summer, even in the winter season, and they keep sprouts from freezing if the snow makes an unexpected comeback. At the same time, the dazzlecap ranas are conscious about the environment and would never do something that could harm nature. Thus, they sometimes refuse to use their magic as they do not like disturbing the natural balance. The dazzlecap ranas aren't as strict about their spores, though. They release as many spores as requested, sometimes even in large quantities. Those passionate about caves are usually the ones who use these spores, as everything they touch glows in the dark. The things touched by the spores will glow for many hours, and the more spores affecting said object, the brighter and longer it glows. The spores can also affect living creatures, but fortunately, they don't damage the body even if ingested. Magi experimented to see if creatures could glow from the inside, but the spores weren’t powerful enough for such a thing to happen - especially if the creatures in question were covered in thick skin or fur.
