I've always wanted to make a keep story, but I've never been brave enough too. Well, here it goes.
The sounds of talons clicking along a hard cement floor was heard as a group of magi were interrupted in their studies, and the occasional gossip. The sound was unmistakably different than what the young magi have heard coming from their gryphons and puvia, and even the rare amagnae and dragons of all types didn't sound as hollow and forceful as this. There was a large thump accompanied by each step, growing louder and louder with every inch it got closer.
The young group stuttered to each other with faces of curiosity and fright. Was a new creature discovered? Was there a monster attacking? They were too frightened to look. Then they heard the most deafening roar, like something from a movie. They quivered in their places. What was going to happen to them? Their creatures were back at their rooms, they were hopeless if this was an attacker.
The footsteps started to get farther away. They peeked out of the door, only to see that there was nothing there but large scorch marks and a possible glimpse of a tail rounding the corner to go to the higher students' classes. They were dumbfounded. They had heard of these creatures, and how their eggs are no longer obtainable, and how someone has six of them kept as guards, but they had never seen one, and have never seen one so big either. They've seen void dragon sized ones, but this one was three times bigger.
Winn called out to his friend, " Jiane, I think that was a molten bone dragon and a dark bone dragon! Those were monsters, and I haven't seen them before, too! I think it was a returning magi. Why don't we go check it out?" He was muffled by the cries of happiness and excitement from the younger magi who had just finished training.
Jaine nodded in reply. They set out down the hall at full pace, receiving looks of puzzlement and scorn from the older magi as they bumped into the other magi and creatures as the hall filled due to the bell ringing. They turned the corner, following the path of the scorch marks and small dents in the floor. They noticed something, at halfway down the second turn, there was another pair of claw marks, this time, it was notably from a regular dragon.
Jaine yelped at the sight of the next hall. "There's so many doors, how are we going to find who is the owner! And there are no more scorch marks anymore," she whined to her friend, who was scouring for any sign of their path. Winn heard a door open, and hid behind the nearest plant. Out came a young girl, only about their age (thirteen or fourteen), with an egg bundled in her pack.
She looked back towards the spot where they were hiding. "I know you're there! You need to stay away from my business! It's not your duty to spy on me, and most certainty need to stay away from my room!" She screamed and turned around to go to the top tower. She smirked as she walked away, knowing that curiosity will get the best of them, and then the other magi will learn that she has her newest companions, if they haven't already ruined the surprise.

Re: "The Sounds of Talons" Chp.1
Chp.2
Jaine crept towards the door, wondering if it was a bright idea to do this, after all, she had seen that the bone dragons were not following their owner. They might be on guard, possibly even right by the door, and could easily attack her if she wasn't careful.
The thoughts rolled through her head like a sea. She could die if she wasn't careful. She came back to reality. You are allowed to view others' creatures, unless they're a special person, then they have every right to hide them. They aren't allowed to attack you or harm you, unless they want to be expelled. She sighed in relief at remembering this.
Winn snapped his fingers. "Are you coming or what," he chuckled as he opened the door. To their surprise, there was nothing in it. Only a few eggs, which were of the species Dark Minicorn, Nandi Bear, and two Talvar. They searched and found a door labeled "Special". Inside was what appeared to be a gold pearl wyrm egg, in an old torn down room, littered with old books and papers.
They stared at it, Winn leaning against the table it was sitting on to inspect it. What was she hiding? The fact she had five eggs? She couldn't of obtained that many by the rules, unless it was a special occasion. They inspected the egg. It was just a regular pearl wyrm egg. Nothing special. What had happened to her other pets? She seemed to be rich, and she had bone dragons. Where were they now?
The door slammed shut. They heard a hiss, but it sounded much like a 'hurr'. They searched for any sign of the sound, but it was as dark as tar due to the fact that there were no windows or lights. Then came a deafening roar, and it sounded like it was coming towards them. Then the clack of talons was heard.
"Winn, I don't think this was a good idea, at all!" Jaine screamed, searching for her friend. Nothing. He wasn't where he was a minute ago. She felt around, trying to squint to see him. She felt a sticky substance where he was leaning against the table, and then heard a scream.
"Jaine! Help me!" The sound echoed off of the walls, and Jaine quivered in panic, frozen there, helpless. She could only close her eyes at the fact her friend was being attacked by an unseen enemy. She curled up into a ball and wept, waiting for her turn to be killed or maimed, but it never came.
The door creaked open, and leaning on the frame was their teacher, Aszerath, a young 25 year old magi with tan skin and expressive black eyes, staring at them, with a face of pure anger and disappointment. He had a lit candle in his hand, and walked over to where Jaine had felt the sticky substance. He smiled at the fact it was only drool. He walked over to Jaine, and grabbed her by the arm, making her see what had happened. There was a large bone dragon with Winn wrapped in it's tail, licking him.
"But-but,"Jaine sniveled," I thought that we were allowed to view peoples' keeps, and I just wanted to see. I haven't gotten into trouble before, and I just wanted to see what she was hiding. It's not bad to do that, is it? I see others do it all the time!"
A smirk formed on Aszerath's face. "You're allowed to do such, but it's not bright to scream out loud when doing so. It can cause pain to many of the creatures, and it's not smart at all. You should have at least brought a candle with you, in case this would happen. But, hey, that's what being in training is about. Learning," His smirk turned into a smile. He would laugh, but he had to be serious when it comes to teaching a 'lesson'.

Re: "The Sounds of Talons" Chp.2 up
Chp. 3
Jaine and Winn laughed at this statement. They loved their teacher, they adored the way he taught, especially the fact he never got mad, and if you didn't understand, he'd gladly help you. He even brought his awesome rewin Fudd to class. He never scorned them if they got curios about something, but they suspected that it was too good to be true, even if he was known to be this way.
"Now come on, we don't want her to return and then end up in a bit of a bind," Aszerath said, but it was too late. The door to the room flung open, a young girl in a black robe outlined in gold stared at them in shock. Beside her was a strange creature, something orange, with dull feathered wings and a deep black belly, with spines running down it's back, along with a black muzzle marking and black hooves. There were spots located on it's breast and on it's thigh. It also appeared to be much like a wyvern.
"Oh cool, what is that!" Winn said out loud, without pausing to put emphasis on the spaces in between words." I want one! What is it called! Can I have it? Is there more? I lo-" He started to chatter away, the bone dragon staring at him with a look of pure question.
Jaine put her hand over his mouth, immediately shushing him. Aszerath glared at him, while the girl just stood there with a face reading the word 'FAIL' all over it. She sighed, and went over to an old book, scratching down something while the threesome quarreled. She opened her mouth to speak, but was interrupted.
"I'm sorry we were intruding into your private area, Ma'am, we'll leave right away," Aszerath said politely, trying not to anger her, "I'll gladly fix any damage these two may have done, and I'll throw in some free work if that's not enough.
She paused, but replied harshly," I am not going to respond ever to "Ma'am", and I do not want any help from any of you! I just want to be left alone with my Pillage Beast, and I want to be left alone so I can do my studies! I have a major test that I have tomorrow, and I only just found out, so it's best you leave me before I call my bone dragons on you!"
Aszerath replied under his breath to not be detected, " Pshhh, someone is grouchy." Winn caught this and started to laugh, but caught it before it left his mouth. Jaine glared at Aszerath, wondering how a teacher could be so rude.
Jaine spoke up, "We're sorry if we caused trouble. Our teacher was just telling us to leave, and we weren't listening. We'll gladly help you study if you want some help."
The girl paused. She replied, " You see, an honest answer gets you somewhere. My name is Infernette, but you can call me Fern or Infer. I've been here for a year, and my current collection of beasts has reached around 4,000, and I own six bone dragons, and four owls. I'm not as famous as you'd think, and I disappear at random times. My pet next to me is not real, it's a fake. I learned how to do such by a spell."
