Fernkit yawned as she lied down on her sister’s fur as her sister mewed “Fernkit get off me†Featherkit complied in a mew. As Featherkit shook her light blue-gray fur as she sat down and lied down right next to Fernkit. “Okay you two go to sleep†whispered Flowerpetal
as she licked Featherkit’s pure blue-gray fur as the tongue licking her fur made it shiny.
Fernkit lied down and stared at her sisters fur then rolled over. As she then saw a Black tom with a ginger underbelly “this is your father Shadowfire†Shadowfire smiled as Flowerpetal introduced him."Nice to met you my lovely kits†he licked Fernkit on the head as she smiled and Featherkit jumped on Shadowfire’s had and laughed “Can I go play with them in the clearing ?†Shadowfire asked his mate. Flowerpetal was silent and just nodded at him as Shadowfire and the kits ran into the clearing and jumped on Shadowfire. Shadowfire then ran over to the fresh-kill pile and dropped 2 robins for them to eat. As Fernkit dug into hers and Featherkit ate it slowly then ate it whole .
Shadowfire then smiled at his kits as they chowed down the Robins. “Okay calm down now don’t eat the bones†Fernkit then looked at Featherkit and then jumped on their father. "Okay girls get off now†he then turned around "Go back in the den with your mom i have to go on a hunting patrol now".
Shadowfire ran off along with two other warriors one that was a black tom and the other a white she-cat with a black moon shape on her chest. “The white one is Snowmoon and the other one is NightWhisper†a brown tabby with darker flecks told them “I’m Frozengaze the medicine cat and your mothers sisterâ€Â. Frozengaze explained to them both as a light brown she-cat ran up “Frozengaze Whitefoot has whitecough†the young apprentice told Frozengaze “thank you for telling me Dreampaw†Frozengaze gazed at her apprentice Dreampaw.
Frozengaze then toke off with her apprentice leaving Fernkit and Featherkit alone as they ran back into the den and sat down beside their mother and fell asleep.
