ok so you go to a school dance and when you get there do you go...
a. straight to the dance floor
b. straight to the food(lolz me)
ORc. stay behind and get a feel of things??

I've never been to a school dance (Online schooled through Middle School and the High School I'm going to now hasn't had a school dance yet...) but I would imagine I'd probably stand there awkwardly and slowly move towards the food.

I've never been to a school dance because I've heard the stories (and seen videos) and I don't think I'd like it. So. Much. Grinding. 
But I'd probably stand around awkwardly and talk to friends and try not to be noticed. And wonder why I spent $30 on something so pointless.

Ehh, not a big fan of dances. I enjoyed the two homecomings I went to because it was with really good friends, and I enjoyed Prom because, I dunno. It felt special. And the food was awesome, although it got all over my dress. 
But I definitely go for the food, get a feel of things, and then go to the dance floor and dance with myself or a friend. Never a guy because I'm too dang shy. :/
