Christmas
I wake up, and suddenly everything's quiet.
There's snow on the ground, and everyone's sleeping.
I put on my coat, my gloves, my pants
And race outside, what's the sense in dreaming
When today is Christmas, all your dreams become real
All the boys want a drill made of stainless steel
But I want a coat, all velvety red
And maybe a hood to cover my head
Today's Christmas Day, get up, go play
In the snow newly-fallen you can play games
Make snowmen, make angels, even snowball fights
Don't wait 'till it's over on Christmas night
Now open your presents, in bags, in boxes,
And maybe you'll get two little stuffed foxes,
Or maybe a baseball, along with a bat,
Even a beautiful, blue and white hat
The children all say with happiness and cheer,
"Wake up everyone! Christmas is here!"
I am really proud of this. I know I have fierce competition, and I just want to let you all know, if you win, that's awesome! I'm just glad I did this.
