To help ease the traffic in the Private Stage, we have decided to place all of the 1x1 thread searches in one place. This should be fairly simple to use, but please follow our few rules.
1. Follow the Roleplay Stage and Magistream Rules of Conduct. This is not a place for conversation or rude remarks.
2. Only post once. You may edit your post as often as you like, and it will not be deleted unless you are absent from the site for a lengthy period of time. From now on, you may post once every ten pages.
3. Please respond to users by PMing them, not by posting.
4. Please only post here, or else PM a particular person, if you are looking for a 1x1 partner. 1x1 searching threads in the Private Stage may be open if they were created before this date (December 3rd, 2011), but any threads created after this time will be closed and redirected to this thread.
5. In your post, you must include any specifications for the private roleplay you intend to create. These specifications may include the literacy rating, genre, characters, and plot that you would or would not like to include.
6. Please separate any distinct ideas you have, if you intend to find more than one roleplaying partner.
Here is an example of what your post may look like:
If the user in question both partners and does not want to do any more 1x1 roleplays after that, they they would edit the post to say something like the following:Looking for two 1x1 partners!
I'm searching for a 1x1 fantasy roleplay partner with moderate literacy (at least three lines per post). I don't have any real plot ideas, but I'm up for anything that has to do with dragons, wolves, faeries, or Magistream creatures. I usually like to play female characters.
I will not do:
- Vampires
- Anything horror-themed
I'm also looking for a semi-literate (at least three lines per post)sci-fi/romance roleplay partner. Again, I want to play the female character. My plot idea is something like this: A girl and a boy wake up in a mysterious room with four other people, and don't know how they got there. They go through a door that appears in the room, and end up in a strange utopia where everything is plentiful and nothing goes wrong, except that no one can see any of them.
I don't have anything else yet, but I thought the story could develop as we go -- but I don't want it to end up too dark! I'm fine with either of us playing several characters. I don't want there to be much fantasy (magic, wizards, ect.) in it, though, and again, no horror!
Found two partners, thanks!
{This is my personal post.
Searching for two 1x1 Partners (Maritime and Miscellaneous)
1. Maritime Roleplay - (In progress)
Spoiler
- I would prefer to have an original plot rather than one based on any movies/books/games/other.
- You absolutely must be literate, and preferably write enough for me to make a decent post with. I would think two paragraphs as a minimum should be attainable.
- I don't want a romance; the characters can be opposite genders, but I dislike romantic plot lines.
- It can be set in a modern time period, Ancient Greece, Victorian-era, Napoleonic, ect. Time period is not terribly relevant. However, I would the roleplay to be kept period-appropriate. There isn't much fun in having firearms in Ancient Greece, now is there?
- The roleplay can include magic, science-fiction technologies (if a Steam-punk style), or be entirely realistic
within those boundaries. If you like, it could even be based in the Callisto Isles.
I am fairly open to any plot, but I would prefer either a Magistream-based roleplay (Dragon Cave-based would also work) or an entirely unique plot line. I have tried book-based roleplays before, and while fun, they never really allow for the creativity I enjoy. There are only a few roleplays which I would not like to create; the following may have some lenience mentioned in parentheses:
- Werewolves (I will allow for werewolf characters, but I do not intend to play any myself)
- Vampires (same regulations as with werewolves)
- Fairies (same as with werewolves and vampires)
- High school/Middle school/College (this may depend on how interesting the plot is; I am perfectly fine with playing characters who fall within these age groups)
- Book/Show/Movie/Video game-based (with Magistream or possibly Dragon Cave as exceptions)
- Romance
- Wolves (see werewolves), dogs, related canines
- Angels
I believe that one or two characters per person, plus NPCs, would be an apt size for a one-on-one. Whoever takes me up on this offer, I would like you to post at least a paragraph per post, if not more, and be active enough to post at least once per week.}
Thank you, Mukumuku for suggesting the idea for this thread.
