I've only been on CS a couple of weeks so take this with a grain of salt. XD

I'd say no to that trade. Sure, it's a Valentine rat, and the rarest of the litter, but it's new unlike the critters the person wants. Also, aren't parentless critters worth more than 2nd and 3rd gens?

Just a smidgen unfair to you. The dog is a good make up for the both the cat and the horse, but not quite there, and the unicorn is slightly higher up than the pony they're offering you. The rat wouldn't be hard to get (you could probably get one for free if you checked around the free pet board).
