The people doing the giveaways in the Free Section never cease to amaze me. Pepperment Tess Horse form-giveaway if anyone wants to join.

I've never posted in any of the forums there. The community generally sucks. I understand that those giving away in the give away section are probably nicer, but I'm too nervous to actually post there.

I stick my extra creatures in my 'Trading tab' so people know what they can trade for.
I just got a trade for one of the things in there, but they didn't ask for anything in return. Um, excuse me? That's not a free tab nor am I doing a giveaway. If you want something, you gotta give me something in return. I don't care if it is a wishlist pet you wanted.

Actually, people in the free section are often assholes, in my experience. I had a run in with someone who had a bunch of rules I had to follow to participate in the giveaway, which I did. He canceled the trade and foed me, and when I asked why he claimed I had sent two trades. I reported it, and the admin told me he was either mistaken or lying.

People giving away pets will often do that-require people to follow weird rules, ask for donations in order to give you access to "better pets," or will just straight up change their rules in the middle of the giveaway and then blame you when you mess up. Or, they will ask you to post something and claim they will send a gift, and then not send anything.

And then there's the constant annoyance of your trades getting cancelled because any good giveaway will be first come first serve, and if someone asks for the pet you want before you, you're SOL.

All that said, though, I have gotten plenty of good pets from giveaways. If you're patient, you can get what you want (as long as it's not rare or older than 2011). You will just have to deal with a lot of annoyances.

But hey, beggars can't be choosers.
