[b]Appearance:[/b] Ethon takes after his mother, an Irishwoman. He is tall, standing at 6’, but unlike most of the boys he isn’t very heavily muscled and so his height tends to make him look a little awkward or ungraceful. All of which changes when he starts dancing, of course. He has a soft face lacking in sharp angles and a nose that could probably be described as ‘cutely snubbed’. A smattering of freckles dots his nose. Being a vampyre, he dislikes going outside in the sunlight, and so his skin is very pale.
Ethon, true to the Irish sterotype, has bright red hair, not dissimilar in color to rust. It is slightly curly and kept fairly short; his bangs don’t fall into his eyes, and in the back his hair reaches just past the base of his skull. He likes hats, and is frequently seen with a fedora on his head. His eyes are bright green, unnaturally so. Think bright, neon, poison green. It’s a rather disconcerting color.
Ethon dresses like the gentleman he was raised to be. He is frequently in a dress shirt, usually white, done up properly and accompanied by a (usually) black tie. He wears black slacks and fine leather dress shoes or, occasionally, a pair of short black leather boots. Though less common, he sometimes also wears a black suit jacket. He has no tattoos, and his only piercings are a pair of small diamond studs in his earlobes.
[b]Personality:[/b] Ethon’s defining characteristic is tolerance. It is amazing what he will put up with. Aurora’s flirting, Derimacheia’s sneaking, Bael’s temper, and hell knows what else goes on in the Manor. He has yet to face a person he cannot tolerate in all his years of living.
Ethon is known for his level-headedness, being pretty much impossible to phase. He possesses an easy grace and elegance and is the kindest of the siblings. He frequently displays genuine care for others. As such, Ethon acts as the ‘voice of reason’ among his siblings. He is the most likely to take the side of the boys or even the captives in an argument.
The other side of Ethon’s level-headedness is that he rarely expresses his emotions to their maximum. His happiness never goes beyond a smile or light laugh, and his rage is never displayed as any more than a small frown and a crease of his brow. He finds sadness harder to hide, and as such tends to lock himself into his room until he had managed to regain his composure.
Ethon a proper gentleman, living by his own strong moral standards. His politeness (to women in particular) is impeccable. He is not afraid to go stand up to others to defend his beliefs, though he would much rather talk it out over tea and biscuits. He believes in the “dog eat dog” and “natural selection” mindsets, but his emphatic personality makes it hard for him to harm others without feeling guilty. It’s the hardest thing he’s had to overcome with his Change.
Ethon is an avid lover of art in all its forms. Painting, drawing, writing, music, theatre, and dance all fall into his definition of ‘art’. He strongly believes that art is the purest representation of a person’s inner being - their soul, if you will. Art is pretty much the easiest way to cheer Ethon up or win his favor.
When he gets hungry, Ethon descends into madness; he attacks everything around him and will try to drink the blood of whatever comes near him. In this state, he literally goes blind, though his other senses become even more enhanced. He can also become ‘blood drunk’, when he drinks too much blood. He can get pretty loopy when he’s blood drunk.

Unlike his siblings, Ethon was not born the way he is now. He was originally human, the gentleman child of Lord and Lady Hawthorne, born in England. He grew up living a good life. At the age of 7, his parents arranged his marriage to Miss Emily Allendale, three years his junior. They married when Ethon was 17. He accidentally killed her when he was changed by the vampyre Aeris McGrath shortly after their marriage.
The pair travelled to the European mainland, where they lived their lives in peace and quiet. Neither was inclined to kill for blood and instead chose to attempt to find less harmful ways to acquire the food they needed. Aeris was killed about a century later by a French vampyre, who was in turn killed by Ethon.
Ethon returned to England and continued his quiet life. It was around this time that he began his studies of the arts properly, beginning with music, which his late mother, wife, and progenitor had been fond of. He later travelled to America in his search for new art to study. He met his siblings and built the Manor in 1743.
[b]Other:[/b] His nickname comes from his love of dance. The foxtrot is one of his favorite dances. He frequently tries to drag his siblings, and occasionally the boys, into dancing with him; Aurora is his favorite victim. He can frequently be found dancing or painting in various places in the house, though he prefers the music room, ballroom, and the Manor’s various balconies.
