enhanced senses/abilities: She has quite a bit of stamina when flying and swimming. She’s not very strong or fast on foot, but very swift in the air and in the water. When it comes to strength, she’s had very little enhancement and just tries to stay in the best shape possible to build muscle tone, which is difficult for her to do, because of her body structure, wanting to be light to be able to fly well. Her hearing and senses of smell and sight have had rather slight enhancements as well, nothing too strong, definitely not as much as most of the other experiments.

build: She’s very tall and slender, being rather ruler-like as well. She doesn’t have much of a defined bust and has a slight curve to her hips and what some would call a “bubbly butt” but other than that, she has long, graceful legs and is generally rather ballerina-like. Due to her hollow bones, she’s very light, despite her mass being greater due to her height.
complexion: She has tanned skin from her Japanese heritage and when she’s out in the sun, she gets even darker.
facial features: She doesn’t look completely Japanese, despite being 100% Japanese. Her eyes, surprisingly, are rather wide and oval-like, framed by thick, long, dark lashes. Her cheekbones are high and soft; the curve of her jaw is gentle and her face is generally round, but more oval-like. Her nose is small, straight and ‘cute’ in a way. She also wears makeup including: eyeliner, mascara, lavender-colored eye shadow, foundation and blush.
eye color: Also not resembling her Asian heritage, she was born with vibrant, bright green eyes.
hair color: Snow white
hair style: Her hair - parted to the left - reaches just past her shoulder blades. It’s typically rather straight, but has very, very slight waves to it. She is usually found with a large flower in her hair on the right side.

tattoos/piercings/jewelry: Yuki has black snake bites as well as a silver piercing in her septum (her nose piercing). She also has two black studs in her cheeks, where her cheekbones are. She has a black tongue stud and has black gauges as well. Lastly, she is always wearing a sterling silver necklace that has a clear marble at the end of it.

added animal features: She has hollow bones, which is why she is so light. She also has webbed toes and a little bit with her fingers (though much more slight), which aids her in swimming. She has beautiful snow white wings that have a wingspan of thirteen feet. Lastly, she has feathers amidst her hair. Not many, but a few; it just looks like when girls attach feather to their hair, but hers are actually feathers, again, only a few.
animal appearance: Yuki is a normal, white swan that you can find all over north America (though was originally indigenous to Northern Africa), even if she might be a touch smaller than most mute swans.

dislikes: Sports, the Academy, the scientists, rain (it makes it difficult to fly), flying through thick forests
strengths: She’s very swift in the air and in the water (more so in the air) and is good at creating escape plans during their training, evading getting hurt rather than standing to fight. She’s also very smart, seeing as she went to school until she was thirteen and so she has a higher level of book smarts than most of the experiments. Lastly, she has the kindest heart you will ever find and she is sweet as sugar.
weaknesses: She is very naïve and almost too nice for her own good. She doesn’t know when to stop thinking of others and only think for herself. Secondly, she is physically and emotionally weak. It’s easy to crush her spirits and hurt her feelings and it’s also very easy to hurt her physically - if you can catch her - because she has a very low pain tolerance. Lastly, she’s mute and it makes it difficult for her to communicate with others quickly.
fears: She’s always afraid of the scientists and their tests. She also has a terrible, horrible fear of needles. Her second biggest fear is blood; she can’t stand it, not even in the slightest. She’s also has of all the girlie fears - spiders, bugs, snakes, etc.
personality: Yuki is just the sweetest girl around. Yes, she is very naïve and believes in the greater good and the fact that every person has good in them and is capable of doing right. She hasn’t been at the Academy long enough to give up her intense optimism. So Yuki tries to be nice to everyone; with the scientists, she tries to avoid them as much as possible. However, she is still just a very gentle and soft girl. Even before she lost her voice, it was light and airy, a beautiful soprano. Yuki tries to help everyone with everything and all that so she tends to be very reliable. When you ask her to do something for you, she always pulls through and if she can't, she at the very least tries her absolute hardest.
One of Yuki’s main downsides is that she’s very obedient. When someone tells her to do something, she just does it, no questions asked. When the scientists tell her to do something, go somewhere or anything of the like, she does it. Even when the other experiments tell her to do something, she automatically does it. You could say she’s a lover, not a fighter, because she always plays it safe and never takes any risks, ever.
Yuki is also very timid and shy. One could call her soft-spoken, but seeing as she can't speak at all, that’s not really fair. However, she’s still a bit ‘new’ to the Academy and so she tries to mainly stay out of everyone’s way and so she comes across as very shy. She doesn’t like to ask people for things or help (even though she seriously needs it sometimes) and she’s virtually afraid of anything. More than anything, she’s afraid of rejection and that’s why she always seems so nervous, because she’s terrified that the other experiments, the people who are supposed to be her friends, will reject her just like her parents did.
Yuki is very honest and is really too naïve to see the point in lying. Most people think that lying has its purposes and it would be nice if you could go through life without ever lying, but Yuki, she really does think you can go through life without ever telling a lie. She doesn’t see the benefit of lying, because she always thinks that if she lies, it’ll only come back to bite her in the butt. Even more naïve of her, she trusts nearly anyone. Even the scientists. When they ‘promise’ her something, she stupidly believes them instead of cussing them out and calling them liars like some of the other experiments would.
Also, Yuki is very humble and modest. She doesn’t like to take credit for things, even when she deserves it. Even when she does something great, something kind or something completely brilliant, she’ll just blush and wave away all compliments. Her shy nature really hates compliments so instead she always tries to focus the attention on someone else by complimenting them.
Yuki, unlike many of the experiments, was taken to the Academy at an older age - thirteen to be exact - and thus, she has had much more legitimate schooling. She reads at an eighth grade level, which isn’t bad for a fifteen-year-old (who should read at a ninth or tenth grade level) and she has very good mathematics skills. She passed Honors Algebra 2 in the seventh grade with flying colors and she was always very smart in history (Japanese and World) and science (mainly Biology and Chemistry). She used to be fluent in English, Japanese and Mandarin Chinese, but now she only needs to remember English (to understand others) and sign language (to ‘speak’).
history: Yuki Sayomi Hayashi was her birth given name. She was born in Japan - Tokyo, actually. However, her parents had desperately wanted a boy. Her mother had a boy before her, but he was stillborn and she was heartbroken so from the day of Yuki’s birth, she wasn’t as loved as she should’ve been. To make matters worse, she quickly became an outcast in society. She was born with snow white hair and green eyes, unlike anyone else in the entire country of Japan, who all had jet black hair and brown eyes so dark they were almost black.
The only thing that saved Yuki’s parents from complete embarrassment was that she had the most beautiful singing voice that many people had ever heard. Coupled with her extensive musical and dancing talents, she was a child prodigy.
However, she was still odd to her parents. So one day, when someone from America called, telling her parents that they would pay them a hefty sum of money to send their daughter to be a famous singer in America, they gladly accepted and sent her away. This wasn’t long ago - she was thirteen at the time.
Yuki was excited and nervous at first, actually believing the lies the scientists told but within a month at the Academy, she had become a human-avian hybrid. It wasn’t until she was fourteen that she even lost her voice due to an experiment so everyone remembers when she could talk - when she could sing - and most of all, she remembers it, every day and she hates the memory.
other: She is mute (due to an experiment on her) and so she only communicates through sign language. Everyone in the lab - scientists and experiments alike - has learned to read sign language so they can understand what she has to say. Yuki’s name means ‘snow’ in Japanese. Her middle name - Sayomi - means ‘beauty of the night’ in Japanese. She changed her last name to Snow after her parents gave her up. She didn’t want to be remembered as someone from the Hayashi family line.

abilities: Jackal has the ability to Halfshift; in other words, he has the ability to manipulate his transformations so that they affect all of his body, part of his body, or shift into a form that is a cross between his human and Jackal form.
He also has grown the ability to control the earth around him, as in the rocks and ground nearby. Because of this there have been many times where he’s been caught trying to escape the academy.
enhanced senses/abilities: Jackal has grown an incredible nose, able to pick up a scent from a few hundred yards away. His ears are also impressive, extremely sensitive to the sounds around him. He’s also grown to have a unique taste for a wide range of foods, including raw meat, strange plants, livestock, and much to Jackal’s annoyance, trash. Strangely, the cold doesn’t bother him much, as he can usually go around wearing light clothes in early winter. Jackal’s also developed near superhuman levels of speed and stamina, and while his strength is impressive, it falls short compared to what Zinc and Fang display.

build: Jackal, despite how little he eats, has an impressive amount of muscle and definition, giving him a lean and toned look.
complexion: Jackal isn’t the tannest around, but he’s got a lighter-than-olive skin tone.
facial features: Jackal has a very square jaw and thin lips, while his cheekbones are noticeably low.
eye color: Dark brown eyes.
hair color: Black hair.
hair style: Jackal usually keeps his hair short on the sides and long on the top so it has sort of a “poofy” look.
scars/markings: Jackal’s got a few scars on his back(most of them from the guards whenever he’s tried to escape), but there’s a nasty one running over his eye which he wears with pride.
tattoos/piercings/jewelry: He’s got a tattoo of a paw print on his lower back that’s begun to fade.
clothing/style: Jackal will generally wear whatever is at hand; it’s not like he needs to dress for special occasions. He’ll generally be found in a wife-beater and cargo pants in hot weather, and he’ll usually do very little more to cover himself in the winter.
added animal features: Jackal is one of the more normal-looking experiments outside of his sharp canine teeth and bushy tail(which, much to his annoyance, is constantly wagging).

strengths:
-Jackal is what you would call a people person, and he has formed a good relationship with most of the experiments.
-His speed is his real selling point, able to run circles over quite a few of his fellow experiments.
-Jackal is very reliable due to his willingness to please, and is willing to devote a fair bit of his time to achieve a goal.
weaknesses:
-Due to brain damage, Jackal has been lacking decision-making skills.
-He’s also suffered from extreme memory loss, and usually has trouble recalling significant events that happened mere minutes ago. This is also the reason for his loss in intelligence, having lost the ability to do basic math well and obtaining extreme difficulties reading.
-Jackal almost always has a headache, which he generally passes off as a result of to many knocks to the head(which, in a way, is sort of true).
fears: being alone, small spaces, heights.
personality: Some have wondered if Jackal eventually just cracked, and in all honesty, their about half right. His overbearingly carefree attitude is almost eerily misplaced within the Academy, and most have suspected his grip on reality having shattered. Again, their only half right; he cracked, and he lost his grip on reality, but his attitude is genuine.
Before stepping into the Academy, Jackal was an introverted, depressed child. Rather than seeing the world as black and white, Jackal considered all to be the former; he considered life to be an meaningless existence, devoid of morals and consumed in self gratification. To him, no matter how you lived or what you did, you would die in the end. In truth, everyone knew this to be a fact, but very few dwelled on this depressing lesson as much as Jackal did.
Once he had entered the Academy, though, his views still remained. He quickly realized how bleak his life had become, and contemplated suicide on numerous occasions. After so many of his attempts having been foiled, he finally cracked; after attempting to hang himself, Jackal cut off brain circulation for a full six minutes, warping his introverted personality due to brain damage. Since then, Jackal’s turned into a new man; he went from being a hate-filled little b*st*rd into a jovial, carefree guy. To some, this is an improvement, but his child-like attitude generally seems artificial.
Nowadays, Jackal’s grown into a clumsy, dopey kind of guy. He’s horribly forgetful, very social, but is far from being the sharpest knife in the crayon box. He’s very obedient to the guards, and has on more than one occasion opened and shut the door to his cage himself. He‘s grown to adapt to new situations and environments with ease, and he can go with the flow of his surroundings with little trouble. He’s even learned to flirt, if only a little, and he’s been found to treat the female experiments with a huge amount of courtesy.
With his shift in personality, Jackal has also picked up a few strange dog-like characteristics. For one, he’s very loyal, and has developed a strong pack mentality with the other experiments. As stated above, he’s very friendly, and if he weren’t locked in a cage, you would expect Jackal to walk up to complete strangers and strike up a conversation. Above all, he’s an absolute people pleaser, and is very willing to pull someone out of their recent bind, even if he’s bound to get the short end of the stick in the end.
As stated above, Jackal is quite far from being the brightest candle in the straw house. He isn’t very quick to the uptake, and don’t even try to ask him to do anything that involves a third grade education or above. Despite this, while Jackal may not be bright, he’s got very good instincts; he usually knows the right way to react in most given situations because of his carefree, flexible attitude.
history: When he was a child, Jackal was the definition of the word prodigy. He was an absolute genius and ha advanced quite a few grade levels by the age of ten. He was smart, an accomplished athlete, filthy rich, and his future was looking bright.
The only problem was that Jackal wasn’t happy.
He despised his parents and their self-absorbed attitude, and the older he got, the more bitter and cynical he became. His cynicism could only grow stronger and stronger, until eventually, Jackal was fed up. Casting away his charmed life, he dipped into his father’s bank account and withdrew almost every cent, leaving his parents flat broke while he ran away from home at age twelve. That didn’t last long, of course, because in his travels, Jackal came across the Academy.
As stated above, Jackal made every attempt for escape and countless more at suicide. After attempting to hang himself at age fourteen, Jackal had cut off the flow of oxygen to his brain for a bit over six minutes, causing him permanent brain damage and robbing him of both his memory and intelligence.
Some might consider it a gain in the end, though; when his intelligence vanished, so did his spiteful nature, being replaced with his goofy, carefree self. Many experiments were thoroughly taken aback by this turn of events, and to this day Jackal will receive questions concerning his sudden shift in nature. In return, they only get a confused shift of the head, Jackal unable to recall any of what they speak of.
other: Jackal received his name the very day he woke up after the accident. When he woke up, he was lying in his cage with the sign “Jackal“ right beside him, which he mistook for his actual name rather than an identification sign. To this day, he won’t answer to anything else.
