Oh ouch. Well... they've been starting the shiny hunts early of late, maybe you'll be able to sign up and get lucky? Or it may be all pokemon you hate!

Okay, I've hunted shiny dratini before, but I wanted a female one as well. So I signed up for the hunt with it. Got one in 5 eggs - a male. Well, can't hurt to have a complete set of the dratini line shinies (though dragonite is not a favorite), and I restart with dratini again.

115 eggs later I have - another male shiny dratini.

Dratini is a 50/50 species, where are my shiny girls?! *mutters about needing 3 now for a full set of shinies in each gender*

edit: On the good news side I did make #5 for fastest hunt.

Yep. One of several items that are just there to sell. They're in the prize shop for folks who want to exchange prize points for regular points.

I want to know if these slowpoke tails will ever be used for anything! I know they're useless in-game...

I didn't know if it was something special or secret because they cost Prize Points--4, at that--and have no description! I am so glad that I didn't waste any points trying to find out.

I don't think I've ever seen Slowpoke Tails on GPX+... Before my time, I guess. .-.

Slowpoke Tails are fairly new, you can get them on the new site similarly to how you get Manaphy, Missingno. and the treasure chests.

I hope I'll find my shiny Dratini by tomorrow, I'm already at 194 fails. I'll have to find it this weekend or I won't be able to finish the hunt in time. Luckily, I already have both Ghastly and Ralts (I even have both Guardevoir and Gallade), so I won't mind not being able to hunt those. But I want the prize points for completing the hunt once...

Actually, the slowpoke tails only showed up after the new site beta started. Sometimes in the spot next to your party count, where chests or the old man will appear, there'll be a guy called the Shady Salesman. He'll offer to sell you a slowpoke tail for 200k points. It shows up under Mystery in the inventory, cannot be sold, and has no known use. I'm hoping that'll change at some point - maybe it'll be used to make a novelty evolution from shelder? (yeah, I know we already have a shelder novelty...)
