Re: The Elder Scrolls ;; The Official Guild
I play on PC, it can handle everything well but it gets really hot. That's why my mom doesn't want me to play games, she says I'll kill my computer
But Dragonborn totally killed my game. It started at the boat, then my follower got stuck and my enemies didn't fight. Animals were invisible and my skill menu died
Oh, and it also ate my quest markers.

If it gets really hot that could be a sign that you need to clean the fan or you might end up with the same problem I did.

It's pretty new, only a year old. Only the sides get warm, where the air comes out most. The bottom (which is supposed to be cooled most I think?) stays quite cool.Shedragon wrote:If it gets really hot that could be a sign that you need to clean the fan or you might end up with the same problem I did.
My mom managed to kill the fan of her laptop though, replacing it would be more expensive than getting a new laptop.

it may be new, but you need to clean fans and intake areas regularly to prevent it from overheating and killing your CPU or even vid card.Riraito wrote:It's pretty new, only a year old. id say the bottom is where your air is going in, which is why it is cooler than the sides.
Anyway - I brought the legendary pack or whatever on steam in the summer sales, and Ive started playing skyrim finally...welll.... Kinda.
Still sorting through my mods, textures, making these things all work and keeping skyrim under it's required 3gb for ram I think it is, or it continuously will either crash or wont load things.
*sigh* does anyone who mods here, have a nice female face they want to share? Im trying to make an archer/fighter but finding it hard to make my wood elf pretty (she is decidedly ugly lol, poor girl). I have in mind the heavy metal women when I was thinking about what I want to play...but it is decidely difficult to create one.. even with UNP body and faces
I am also working on putting all my textures into one mod, which I am hoping will work...
Anyway.. HI from a newly converted Skyrim player lol
also I am decidedly unhappy about all the horse retextures so i am getting myself a tablet, 3d modelling software and creating my own. I mean, someone decided to have "lighter" horses on the nexus, but they seem to think that just taking off feathers and making the ass thinner is all they needed to do...

Re: The Elder Scrolls ;; The Official Guild
I didn't even have the chance to download light breed Shadowmere, but I'd love something different. As a horse lover, having a pretty horse is really important
My animals decided to be invisible, so the wild horses I got didn't even show up. I also shouldn't have gotten prides of Skyrim. My new character can't get to the next town because those lions are like lvl 50. The fact that I can't see them doesn't help very much
My launcher also died, so I can't add or delete any mods. I haven't tried deleting them from my data folder yet. But there is so much wrong with my Skyrim that I won't even try. I'll just get the 'real' Skyrim, since I can't expect any help when I play something that's been downloaded from the internet.
About the fan, how do I even clean it? I can ask someone, but I know he'll be wanting money for it

A can of compressed air seems to be a popular choice for those that don't want to go to a computer store with the PC.

From what I've seen on Nexus, there are a lot of Better Body models - I don't pay much attention to the face, so I just went with CBBE for the girls and one whose name escapes me for the chapsBluMajica wrote:

If you do make a warmblooded horse mod, post screencaps and maybe share? I'm currently using a mod that lets me ride an elk around 'cause I was tired of going galumph-galumph on a horse

*just spent 2 hours looking for great mods*
I still want to try Falskaar, my Skyrim didn't let me but once I get a real and working version I'll add it for sure. Also, why are there so little good horse mods? I want an epic horse! Shadowmere and Blaze are great, anyone has some other ones?
Aaaaand, Skyrim Legendary version has been ordered

Make sure the connection between the fan cord and the motherboard is stable. My fan wasn't plugged in all the way when I was done rebuilding, and I thought I was just overclocking and killing my desktop. It overheated quickly and would crash my game. I took a peek inside and it turns out that the cord just wasn't plugged in all the way.Riraito wrote:It's pretty new, only a year old. Only the sides get warm, where the air comes out most.
