Aiden kept at a steady running pace, trying to catch up with Raven. Just because he let his inner wolf take over for a brief moment when he kissed her didn't mean that he couldn't talk to her like he had before. Besides that, he knew she was hurt. He wanted to say or do something to make it right with her.
He loped past Tami and forced his muscles to pump his legs a little harder until he was within Raven's ear shot "Raven! Wait..." he called, still trailing behind her.

Kieran picked up his pace as Aiden did, but slowed as he came up next to Tami. He watched as Aiden tried to catch up with Raven and decided to let the two talk...just as long as they didn't try to kiss or snuggle again.
He sighed as he matched Tami's pace "I'm sorry you and Raven had to witness that back there." he said.

Raven slowed down a bit when she heard Aiden's pawsteps behind her as well as the shout that he called after her. She then stopped a few minutes later so that he could catch up to her and then they could keep pace with each other the rest of the way. She wanted to tell him that it wasn't his fault that she was upset with Kieran but she was going to let him talk first since she had no idea what he wanted to talk to her about. She could only guess but she could guess wrong as well and she didn't want to do that.

Tami watched Aiden lope past her before seeing Kieran as he came up beside her and kept her pace.
"It's okay I understand that you were just trying to help your brother but don't you think that separating them for a couple of days is a bit too harsh?" she said and asked in reply to his apology after she heard it. "Although it might be true that he's oblivious to love and other feelings people might feel towards him, Raven can help make that obliviousness go away. Before today, I had never heard him say something so passionately about anyone. I think she had been helping him by kissing him earlier before you had gotten there. That might sound crazy, but it might also be true."

(Aw, thanks. I have actually considered such. But the education involved is pretty expensive, and there's no scholarships for it. I'll have to save up the money, cause I hate taking out loans. But first, right now, I am saving money to 1) publish my novel and 2) get a aviator pilot's licence. BTW, I like how you did your name in your signature!)

Aiden moved up beside Raven and looked at her, barely holding eye contact with her, because he felt ashamed, but forcing himself to look her in the eyes "Raven, I'm sorry. Kieran....he's just...well...." he shook his head and looked down "The whole thing was my fault. He wouldn't have yelled and gotten so angry if I had just kept myself...under control."

Kieran listened carefully to what Tami said, considering her words and her meaning behind them carefully. Maybe he had over-reacted... but who wouldn't when their twin came flying for their throat? Still, Tami might have a point; what if Raven could actually help Aiden? Ground him, bring him to reality, make him more aware of the things around him?
"It doesn't sound...completely crazy." he said with a slight grin on his wolfish face "I can't TELL Aiden what to do. He is a grown man, he can do what he wants. But, I still think that keeping minimal contact between the two of them until the ritual would be.... safer." he sighed "Maybe I am being too harsh. But, I feel this relationship between them is so...sudden. I think Aiden needs to take time to work at it and understand his own feelings before they take it to the next level."

"It's okay Aiden and it wasn't your fault," Raven said in reply after she listened to everything that he said after he had caught up to her. "Some of the blame is mine since I kissed you the second time, knowing that you weren't ready for it. I'm sorry, too."
She then looked down as well for a little bit as she tried to think of something else to say in order to keep talking to him before they had to continue on to camp and they would have to have some space between them.
"I've also been thinking a little bit after what Kieran said and it might be a good idea to be apart some until the rituals since it might help you become fully aware of your feelings so you won't lose control again," she said after a few minutes and when she was looking at him again. "Please don't be upset at me for repeating what Kieran said earlier since I know you weren't a huge fan of it before but like I said earlier, it might do some good. I also know that I got upset but I'm no longer that way anymore since I gave it some thought and yeah. I also dropped the 'I love you' bomb on you today so I know you need more time to come to terms with that."

Tami listened to everything that he said to what she had said, blushing a bit when she saw his grin he gave to her and thought that he was definitely doing everything he could in order to make her blush. She nodded in understanding before looking ahead again at Aiden and Raven and then back to him again.
"Okay," she said with a smile and then looked ahead of them again as they continued to walk to where the other two currently were.

[Thanks. It's gonna take me a while to get those things done, seeing as my income is SUPER slow. Like a slug.]

Aiden wanted to blurt several things out, but he held his breath instead and kept silent for a moment. Finally he exhaled slowly "I understand what you and Kieran are both saying and, though I don't like it, I think you both are right. I need time to digest this all." he sighed and smiled at her softly "As far as the "I love you" bomb.... I think I've already come to terms with that. And I'm pretty sure I like it."

Kieran watched Aiden and Raven talking together ahead "I don't want anyone hurt. I hope they'll take my advice and keep some distance until the ritual." he looked at Tami "Do you think that, maybe, we should do the same?" he cringed. He didn't like the idea. After all, he had been wanting to be close to Tami for a long time and he was greatly enjoying their time together. But if he was going to keep Aiden out of trouble, and make it fair, he was probably going to have to take his own advice.

Raven noticed that Aiden wanted to say something, or maybe a couple of somethings, and that also he didn't say them before she listened to what he did end up saying in that other stuff's place.
"Okay and I'm glad," she said in reply with a smile to all the statements that he said in reply to her statement about Kieran's idea as well as the last one he said about her "I love you" bomb.

"Maybe they will," Tami said in reply to Kieran's first couple of statements that he said before she heard the question he asked her.
She looked over at him when she noticed that he was looking at her and said in reply with a small sigh and with her ears slightly back to almost being flat against her head, "If you think it might be best for us to do so."

Kieran sighed "Well, maybe less time alone together would suffice. After all, once the ritual is past, we'll have all the time we want to be alone together." he smiled at her, though he still didn't like the idea of sacrificing any time with her.

Tami just nodded when she heard everything else that Kieran said and then smiled back at him but it was somewhat of a sad one since she didn't like the idea of even being away from him for a second. She knew that was going to change, though after the ritual was done.

ts to day of ritual

The day of the ritual came and found both Raven and Tami at the latter's house, helping each other do the other's hair and just spending some time talking about what was going to happen that day.
"I'm so glad that the time of separation is over between Aiden and me," she said as Tami braided her hair while threading a light brown ribbon through it. "These last couple of days have felt a bit like torture being away from him and I bet he feels the same way as well as you and Kieran."
"Yes I do feel the same way," Tami said in reply as she finished with braiding her friend's hair before completely finishing it off with a leather ring (was kind of thinking it could work as a elastic band that we use today to pull our hair back with). "I'll feel really relieved when I see him either before the fights or during them if I'm not too busy with healing the losers."
Raven nodded before getting up and asking as she gestured with her hand for her friend to go first to leave the hut, "Shall we head over to the ring now?"
Tami nodded before leaving her hut with Raven close behind after having shut the door behind them. They then headed over to the ring together, keeping an eye out for the twins that they had chosen to be their mates.

((oh I forgot to mention that the ribbon Tami has in her hair is dark brown.))

Though Kieran had missed spending time with Tami, he was glad that he and her had decided to observe some separation. It had allowed him and Aiden to have something to relate to the last couple of days, and it had given them both some quality time together. They had been able to talk about the girls together and discuss some pretty in depth stuff, which Kieran felt had been very good for Aiden. Still, Kieran was SO GLAD today was the day that he and Tami would finally be together as mates.
"Kieran, what are you giving Tami as a gift?" Aiden asked as he slipped on a good shirt.
Kieran looked at Aiden's shirt and shook his head "You better choose a different shirt. Save that one for when you aren't fighting."
Aiden looked at his shirt then nodded "Good idea." he said, taking it back off and throwing it aside, grabbing another and slipping it on "You still haven't answered my question." he reminded.
Kieran sighed "I haven't decided."
Aiden huffed "Kieran! You should have decided by now!" he scolded, crossing his arms and looking around "I was depending on it.... because I haven't decided either."
Kieran chuckled "What about something of mother's?" he asked.
Aiden looked at Kieran but remained silent. The few items they had of their mother's was very precious...fitting for the girls they adored.
Kieran turned and grabbed the stone box that contained the last items of their mothers: a wooden necklace, a decorated hair comb, a bead bracelet, and a stone ring that their father had made for her.
Aiden let out a long sigh "You choose first."
After several minutes of contemplation, it was decided that Kieran would take the ring and the bracelet, and Aiden would take the necklace and the hair comb.
Once they were finished, they left the hut and made their way to the ring.
"Ah! I see the girls! They just walked in." Aiden said, slapping Kieran in the chest.
The two of them walked around to the girls and, without thinking, Aiden ran behind Raven and wrapped his arm around her waist, hoisting her into the air and swinging her in a circle with a whoop.
Kieran made a face palm at Aiden's action, but approached Tami with a grin "He's....excited." he said with a shrug, staring at her "You look....beautiful." he said somewhat shyly.

((I saw that you already got two shadow walker eggs on your scroll ; I was going to trade you two ...on a side note about the rp, do the girls give the boys something too during the ritual or is it just the boys? I forget ))

Raven let out a surprised yell when Aiden grabbed her around the waist with his arm and swung her around in a circle but still laughed happily afterward. She knew it was him only from the whoop he let out while doing the action. She was so happy that after today they would finally be mates and also that their two-day separation was over.

Tami just giggled a bit when she watched Aiden and Raven before having her attention go to Kieran as she heard his two statements.
"Thank you and you look handsome," she said in reply with a small blush on her cheeks as well as a happy smile at seeing him. "Good luck today with the fights."
She said the last statement to wish him luck even though there was no doubt in her mind that he would win since he was a good warrior and fighter.
