Raven kissed Aiden back and smiled as she heard what he said about being the happiest guy around before saying, "And I think that I'm the happiest girl."
She then had her attention go to Kieran when she heard what he said to both of them and then just addressed the former only in order to remind him about making reports to the Alpha.
"I'll still be here when you get back so you won't have to come looking for me again," she said when she had her attention go back to being on her mate to let him know that he could just come back to the medic hut to find her.

"And I can't wait to start being called an Aunt," Tami chimed in with the smile still on her face as she watched Aiden and Raven and heard the rest of what Kieran said.
She sat down in a seat nearby and planned on still being there with Raven in order to keep her friend some company as they both would wait for their mates to come back from the Alpha's hut.

Aiden held onto Raven's hand, almost too excited to let her go, but Kieran was right. They had some very bad stuff to talk to the alpha about.
With a reluctant sigh, Aiden let her hands go. He winked at her "I'll be back." he said before he and Kieran walked out the door.

"Really, brother, I am happy for you both." Kieran said, putting his hand on Aiden's shoulder as they started leaving the hut "I really hated to break up the happy moment, but..."
Aiden sighed, trying to get off cloud 9 and into a serious state of mind again "I know Kieran. That's okay. I am not looking forward to talking to the alpha, but I know this is really, really important." he suddenly grew more somber "What if Raven had been hurt by....them? She was out there waiting for me. What if they would have found her first?"
Kieran gave his brother a friendly shove "Well, you found her first. Nothing bad happened. She is safe in the medic hut now. So shut up about what could have happened and get your mind on the game."
Aiden nodded, but the thought of what could have happened still gnawed at his gut.

((Thank you for the fudge ^.^))

Raven just nodded in reply to what Aiden said before he left the hut with Kieran to go to the Alpha's hut and report what had happened while on their patrol. After they had gone, she sat down in a chair close to where Tami was sitting and sighed a bit.
Tami heard the sigh and asked as she looked over at Raven, "What's wrong?"
"Oh nothing's wrong I was just thinking of what could have happened if whoever had attacked Aiden had come for me before he did," Raven said in reply as she looked over at her friend.
Tami nodded in understanding before saying comfortingly, "Well what could have happened didn't happen and you're here now and safe so relax."
"Yeah you're right and okay I will," Raven said with a smile before closing her eyes a bit to rest for a few minutes.

((Sorry that I sort of stole your topic of conversation but I needed one myself for what I could have the girls talk about and yeah :t-sweat:))

(Ah, you're welcome. I wanted to eat it all for myself, but I decided it would be better if I shared it. :P And that is okay. I'm going to skip to a little while later. I'm gonna say that the talk with the Alpha didn't go over too well, didn't inspire confidence, and so Kieran and Aiden have challenged the Alpha's position for a lack of confidence in his abilities.)

A terrifically loud howl echoed around the huts of the village. It was angry and challenging.
Kieran, in wolf form, snarled as he and the alpha circled each other in the village center. Aiden stood nearby in his wolf form, bristled, ready to leap to his twin's help if need be. Gradually, others began to filter in and watch the scene with wide eyes. What was going on?
An elder stood nearby, calm and discerning as the two other wolves circled each other. He would be the judge of the outcome.
The alpha jumped forward and snapped at Kieran. Kieran stood on his back legs and the two collided, snapping at each other's faces, each one trying to get on top of the other. Their snarls were blood curdling as they tore at each other's hides.
The alpha finally got a hold of Kieran's scruff and pulled him down, rolling him across the ground. His sharp teeth cut a gash in Kieran's pelt, but Kieran did not let that bother him. He jumped back to his feet as soon as the alpha let go and he punched into him with full force.
Aiden barked and yapped with bared fangs at the edge of the fight, egging Kieran on and barely keeping himself from jumping into the fight with his twin. It was tradition that the oldest of the challenging family be the one to fight. If Aiden interfered at the wrong time, the whole pack could count it as a foul and jump on him and Kieran and kill them. He had to stay back. But he was going to stay involved through every step.

((I gave one to you as well and k ^^))

Raven and Tami had both fallen asleep earlier while they had waited for the boys to return from their meeting with the alpha. When they heard the commotion outside, it woke them up and caused both of them to go to the windows of the hut and look outside it to see what was going on. They saw Aiden on one of the edges of the fight and Kieran in the middle of it with the alpha and got a bit concerned.
"I'll go see what's happening stay here," Tami said to Raven before moving to the door and then walking out of it a few minutes afterward only to close it again once she was on the porch of the hut.
Raven only nodded in reply to what her friend said and just continued to look out the window as the former made her way to the elder who looked like he was judging what appeared to be a fight.
"What's going on?" Tami asked the elder as Raven watched from the window inside the hut.
"Kieran challenged the alpha for lack of confidence and for a lack in the latter's abilities as a leader," he said in reply to her question without looking away from the fight.
Tami just nodded and then headed back inside since she didn't want to get in the way.

[Yes I saw that! Thank you, btw. You were the first one to send me something. :D ]

Kieran fought hard with the alpha for the next 15 minutes. It seemed like hours though, especially as the fatigue began to shake his muscles and weigh down on his bones. His pelt was stained pink from blood, and crimson droplets trickled from his fur like rain drops. Still, he refused to back down.
The alpha was just as tired, if not more so. He was an older male and had not taken a challenge in some time. He was out of shape, and it was really starting to show now. His dark pelt was also dripping with blood. His feet were slow and scraped across the ground. His tongue hung from his mouth limply as he panted for air.
The two of them circled each other, each watching the other carefully.
After a few steps, the alpha stumbled. Kieran took the opportunity to muster his remaining energy and lunge at the older male. He knocked the alpha to the ground and sunk his teeth into his shoulder, then he shook viciously, dislocating the other's shoulder. The alpha began to scream and yelp in pain, and he rolled over on his back. Kieran let go and stood over the top of him, pushing his snarling mouth close to the alpha's face. The alpha refused to look at him and merely surrendered like a pup before passing out.
Silence fell over them all like a blanket. Kieran licked his lips and stood tall, stepping away from the ex-alpha.
The elder stepped forward and approached Kieran "You have challenged the alpha and have made him submit. Your fought a good fight. Do you accept the alpha position?"
Kieran inclined his head, accepting.
The elder went through the Alpha's Oath with Kieran then, and when they had finished, all the wolves in the crowd raised their heads and let out a long, victorious howl.

Aiden approached Kieran and lowered his head and tail, submitting before his new alpha.
Kieran nodded at him, then Aiden shifted up into human form to address the crowd "Our beta male has betrayed us and is running with the rogue pack. There are 7 others here who are witness to this besides my brother and I. Since we have no beta, I am claiming the right to the beta position."
There was a drawn out silence for a moment before the elder spoke "Is there no one here who will challenge Aiden for the right to the beta position?" again, silence.
After a few breathless moments, the elder declared Aiden the rightful beta, and several yipping howls ripped through the air from the crowd.
The pack now had a new alpha and a new beta: Kieran and Aiden.

((You're welcome ^_^ and yay ^.^))

Raven and Tami looked out the window of the medic hut when they heard the ceremonies outside for a new alpha and beta. They also heard what was said about the former beta and they both wondered why they hadn't been told about that even if they knew that both Aiden and Kieran had just been trying to protect them but they had also wanted to know that other little tidbit.
"Get Alpha Kieran and the former alpha in here so that I can heal both of them, one that has already been healed and has to be healed again and the other that I haven't healed yet," Tami said formerly and with a straight face after she had gone outside and was now standing on the front porch of the medic hut.
She then turned back around and headed back inside, waiting for the two that she had requested to be brought inside so that she could heal them.

Aiden walked next to Kieran toward the healer's hut, carrying the ex-alpha in his arms. Kieran was still in his wolf form, because of his wounds. He whined slightly and looked up at Aiden.
"Don't worry. I'll explain it to them." Aiden replied. He could tell his brother was worried about what their mates would say.
Kieran growled and gave Aiden a stern look.
"Don't worry. I wont embellish any of it. What do you take me for? An impulsive liar?" Aiden asked.
Kieran seemed to grin and he swiped his tail to the side slightly.
"Seriously? You and I are gonna have a little chat about your opinions of me later." Aiden remarked.
Finally they reached the healer hut and Aiden carefully carried the ex-alpha inside and laid him on the table. Aiden briefly wondered if it would be better to let the old alpha die. He was disgraced now.... but he still fought a good fight and had led the pack for many years. He still had his honor, in that respect. So maybe he would not take his disgrace too hard.

((I sent you some flowers on DC for the Valentine's Day event ^.^))

Both Raven and Tami looked over towards the door when they saw Aiden and Kieran come in with the ex-alpha in the former's arms before he was set down carefully on the table. Tami went over to the table, starting to heal the former alpha's wounds and then working on Kieran's afterward as Raven looked at both of them with a grim expression on her face, "You guys have some explaining to do."
Tami just continued to heal her mate's wounds, waiting for one of them to respond to what her friend said but showing that she was a little hurt that Kieran kept something from her.

((Yes! I saw that! I was going to get on here last night and thank you for them, but my sister ended up having my computer until midnight... So, now that I am on here: Thank you so much! They are purrrrty. :) ))

Aiden ran his fingers through his hair "Yeah. Ummm... we do." he sighed and glanced at Kieran, who was busy watching Tami heal his wounds "Well, this morning, the wounds that Tami healed...umm...well." Aiden clapped his hands together, then folded his arms and looked at Raven "Okay, don't get worried, but our patrol ran across a pack of rogues this morning being fed information by the beta. When they realized we had discovered them, a fight broke out and the beta escaped." he took a deep breath and leaned against the table "When Kieran and I went to talk to the alpha about it, he admitted that he had suspected the beta and had done nothing. No plans, no increased security, nothing." he shrugged "And the rest is history. Kieran is now the new beta."
Kieran rolled his eyes and made a mental facepalm. Aiden was always talkative, full of words, conversation starters, and stories. But when it came to explaining things, he was horrible.
