Raven and Tami listened to everything that Aiden said, nodding in understanding when he was done talking.
"Alpha you mean," Raven pointed out as she noticed that he had made a mistake of Kieran's new position in the pack. "You're the new beta."
She only corrected him to let him know that she had been paying attention to the fight that had occurred earlier between Kieran and the former alpha as well as the little ceremony that happened afterward that the elder who played as the judge conducted.
"There your other wounds are healed now," Tami said to Kieran after Raven was done correcting Aiden on their new positions.
She had wanted to point out what her friend did but the other beat her to it.

[I will for sure! I didn't realize that the flowers only grow if you go in and check on them periodically. So I have had mine for a couple of days and when I logged in this morning I was like "Why you no grow!!!" and then I read how it worked and was like: ]

Aiden blushed slightly as he realized his mistake "Yeah. Alpha. Sheesh." he rubbed the back of his head. He was beta, Kieran was alpha. He needed to get that right, and quick.
"Oh crap!" he shook his head as it suddenly hit him "I'm beta!" he had known what he was doing when he issued the challenge for the position, but it the gravity of it all suddenly washed over him. Not only did he just become a new soon-to-be-father today, but he also became the new beta. The old leaders had been corrupt, the village was possibly on the brink of war, his mate was expecting their first baby, and he and Kieran were alpha and beta "I...I think I need to sit down." he said, groping for a chair as his legs got a little weak beneath him.

Kieran shook his coat out and then shifted back up to his human form "I am sorry that we did not tell you before." he said, looking at Tami "I didn't want to say anything until we knew what was going on. I didn't want you or anyone else who might have overheard to worry." he reached out and took her hand.

((K and I found that out as well; now I mainly stay on that page and just refresh it every so often...also I thought wolves have a litter of pups and not have them one at a time; I was thinking of her giving birth to them in wolf form like TMD had her chars give birth to their pups in that rp we did with her...forget which one it was but yeah; or we can do it the human way too...I'm good with either one))

Raven helped Aiden get over to a chair when she noticed that he was groping for one after he said what he did and then sat in one beside him. She didn't want to move around too much since she was expecting pups and she figured that the former wouldn't want her to do so anyway.

"It's okay and I was worried anyway when you were fighting the former alpha," Tami said in reply with a small smile on her face now as she squeezed Kieran's hand a little bit after he had grabbed her's earlier. "I'm just glad you're okay and that you weren't too badly injured."

((Oh yeah! That's right. *facepalm* Me forgetted. Okay, yeah, that's fine. She was going to have 2 pups, right? Or three?))

Kieran smiled and nodded "Me too." he wasn't going to admit that he was worried for a moment in the fight that he might loose. It had really been a close fight.
He looked from Tami to Raven and Aiden sitting nearby. His eyes narrowed.
"And, just as a precaution girls, until Aiden and I figure out what is going on with the rogues, I think we would both feel better if you stayed in camp, or at least close-by." he looked back at Tami "This change of leadership will probably make everything shifty around here, and no doubt the rogues heard the commotion. They will want to inspect and test the new leaders. I don't want them to hurt anyone, especially you guys: the alpha and beta females."

Aiden raised his eyebrows as Kieran brought up a new point: Raven and Tami had risen in rank in the pack too.
"Wait, wait... the girls alpha and beta females?" he looked at Raven "Is that okay? I mean, can you handle that? I mean....I didn't mean it like that: I know you can handle anything, but do you want to be beta female? Is anyone going to challenge her for the position?" he looked back at Kieran.
He seriously had not thought this thing through very carefully.

((It's fine ^^ and she's going to have 3; should she have triplets, or just two girls and a boy, or two boys and a girl, or all boys that aren't triplets, or all girls that also aren't triplets?))

Tami felt a little better when she heard what Kieran said about him being worried as well during his fight with the ex-alpha that had happened earlier before hearing everything else that he said.
"I understand and we will. It'll be safer in the camp anyway until the rogues move onto another territory or leave us alone."
Raven looked at Aiden when she heard all of the questions that he had asked after hearing what Tami said to Kieran as well as what the latter said about her and Tami staying in camp until the situation with the rogues was over.
"Yes of course I'm okay with it and I don't think anyone will challenge me for the position since I'm your mate."
She knew that that last question was directed at Kieran and not her but she answered it anyway just because.

[How about two boys and one girl? And I am so sorry that I haven't posted in a while. I have been going crazy trying to get ready for my book launch, which is tomorrow, the 3rd.]
(Hummm....ahumahum... should we skip to a week later? And maybe one or both of the girls get captured?)

((okay ^^ and it's fine; I understand ...I did read what the book was about on the page that the pic in your sig's linked to and I thought it was very good ; sure I'll initiate the skip...what should the pup's names be?))

A week later found both Tami and Raven still in the healer's hut. They didn't leave from it much except to get some snacks from the food storage hut. When a strange shifter that neither of them knew came to the door asking for Tami to heal his packmate, though she went with him although wearily and cautiously since she wasn't sure if it was a trap or not.
Raven wanted to go with her but was declined the company, being told that she needed to rest and that she would be careful. She just nodded before going over to the couch, laying down, and then closing her eyes shortly afterward to take a short nap after having watching the others walk into the woods with a worried expression on her face. When she opened her eyes again an hour or so later, she didn't see Tami anywhere in the hut and her worry from earlier just grew. She got up, left the hut after having closing the door again behind her, and then made her way to the woods and in the direction that she had seen her friend and the stranger go in earlier. She followed Tami's scent to a clearing where she was knocked out from behind from a rogue that she hadn't seen sneak up on her but had heard once it had made a noise. She had let out a surprised yell that she hoped would be heard all the way back to camp before falling unconscious.
The rogue cursed to himself before picking up Raven and then going into the woods while following his fellow packmates that were carrying an unconscious Tami back to their own camp deep into the woods.

(So, so, SOOOOO sorry. Things have been crazy, what with the launch and everything. I have been pulling up the internet and working online all day. Magistream gets pulled up with it, but I'm not actually on. So if it says I am online, it lies. Haha. I am, but I'm not playing. Anyway, I have been working randomly on the boy's response, so i do have something to post.
As far as names....uhhh.... I don't know. Maybe Brazen and Blare for the boys?)

Aiden was outside, helping some others fortify key areas of defense around the village, when his sharp ears picked up a yelp for help. It was so distant, he wasn't even really sure he heard it, but it made him start worrying about Raven for some weird reason. He typically wasn't too concerned about her. She was strong and smart and would listen to Tami's advice as she neared her due date. So, for him to get worried suddenly was a red flag for him.
He delegated a few jobs to some others before he jogged back into the village straight for the healers hut where Tami and Raven should have been.... but were not. He saw their tracks leaving the hut. He peeped his head inside just to be sure, and when he confirmed that they were not inside, he shifted down to wolf form and began to track them. There was another scent mingled with theirs - and unfamiliar one. He did not let the terrifying thought gain control over him until he reached the place where their scent mixed with the scent of several others.
"Oh no!" he whined, tucking his tail "Rogues!" he lifted his head and released a long, drawn out, worried howl.

Kieran was going over patrol plans with some young, eager wolves when he heard his brother's howl. It was unmistakable.
He quickly dismissed the younger wolves, then he called for a couple of experienced fighters and they all shifted to wolf form and started tracking toward where Aiden's howl had come from. Aiden let another howl out, guiding them to him, and Kieran let out several short howls as he ran to let his twin know that he was on the way.
When they arrived, Aiden laid his ears back and began to whimper and whine, keeping his tail tucked.
Kieran sniffed the air, then lowered his nose and, after a few moments, he began to share in his brother's distress.
"Kieran! What are we going to do! They've taken Tami and Raven! Oh I will never forgive myself if they do anything to Raven! I will find them all, one by one, and tear their throats out! I just- I don't- oh Kieran what are we going to do?!" Aiden had shifted back into his human form and was pacing agitatedly, rattling a hundred words a second.
Kieran shifted as well and then grabbed his twin by the shoulders, shaking him slightly "Aiden! Get a hold of yourself!"
Aiden looked at his brother with wide eyes "What are we going to do Kieran? You know as well as I do that it is a trap!"
Kieran nodded "I know. They took them on purpose." he took in a deep breath "And I think we should spring the trap."
The warriors he had brought along protested, telling him it was too risky.
"We have to!" he snapped "We have to get the girls." he let go of Aiden and began to pace thoughtfully as he gradually came up with an idea "Back to the Alpha hut. I have an idea."
They all shifted back to their human forms and loped back to the village. If they were lucky, his plan might just work.

((It's okay ^^ *hugs you comfortingly* ; I had seen you on but then once you poofed afterward I was like "nooo! don't leave me! " in my head...when I saw that you had replied earlier I was really happy and like this: ; those are good names for the boys and for the girl, I was thinking either Roxanne, Claire, Sabrina, or Emily))

Both Raven and Tami came to in a weird-looking hut that they had never seen before. When Raven tried to get up, she discovered that she was on her side and with her hands and feet bound and she saw that her sister-in-law was in the same position. They were both looking for something sharp to cut the rope free from their hands and feet when the door to the hut opened and in walked the corrupt beta-turned rogue.
"Why are we here and what do you plan on doing with us?" Raven asked with a glare directed at him and Tami did the same.
"Keep you as bait of course in order to draw out your princes so that we can finish the job we started last week," Sedrick said in reply with an evil smirk on his face. "Kill them."
"They'll kill you before you kill them," Tami said before receiving a sharp slap across her face against her left cheek.
"We'll just see about that," he said in reply before walking out again afterward.
