I seem to have forgotten the etiquette when dealing with a stud. Is it the mother gets the kit if there's only one, and if there's twins the mother gets the first pick and the father gets the second? What about triplets?

It all depends on the rules in the stud clan. It is generally considered polite to offer the father's owner one of the babies. Some clans state that if there are triplets the clan owner gets the third. I think a common method is mom keeps the third, but if triplets are had again, then dad gets it.

Personally, in all my clans, I state that all the kittens belong to mom, but if there are extras, offering one to the stud owner is appreciated. And when I have multiples, I virtually always offer one to the dad's owner.



Guh! I've got a bunch of 2nd and 3rd gen kittens due, and I have NO idea what to do with them. They all need coded, but aside from cloning kitties who I would then sell... but I want to keep them because they are low gen!
