Eh, I'm always hesitant to read fanfiction. Some of it's great, a lot of it is awful. But it really depends on the source material.

Yeah, theatre. We're doing a production of the Music Man. It ain't lookin to great.

Oh, I find the good stuff. Promise. Because I've seen the bad stuff. And it's ugly.

My high school did the Music Man when I was in the eighth grade. Do you like the show itself? Because a lot of my friends (the ones who were actually in it) say they didn't like it. I haven't seen it though.

Ehhh... I mean, the show itself is fine, the music's cool (if a bit difficult to sing), but my one problem is the story. Now, musicals are not known for their intricate plot and high culture, but the main character, who is a total a-hole and a literal felon, gets away with extortion, minor theft, and general asshatery completely scott-free. He steals from dozens, if not hundreds, of people, and the one Good Samaritan that tries to get him arrested is shunned by the rest of town.

It leaves a bad taste in your mouth. At least the movie's good.
