Tell me what you think and if I should continue on with this. I'll also take suggestions for interesting things that can happen.
Now that that's done and over with, on with the story.

Luna walked along a well worn path through a patch of forest near her home. Well, it wasn't technically her home, it was more of a base, or school. An academy where those who have bonded with a Myth, live and train. A Myth is a shortened term for the mythical creatures that have hidden themselves away from humanity, to avoid the fate that the dragons did in the medieval days. Her Hippogryph, named Frost due to his coloring and because that in turn reminded her of the Jack Frost legend, was walking calming by her side. Saddle bags filled with four baby creatures hung across his back, though the creature took no notice, if it affected him at all.
"Just up here is where Whirlpool and Kyuu are, Frost. Then you can go and hunt like I know you've been wanting to for the past few days." Magi, as the bonded to these creatures were called, could bond with more than just one Myth. However not all the Myths that a Magi had, had to be bonded to them. They could be given to other Magi or released into the wild when their old enough, should the Myth chose to. Stronger Magi tended to have more bonded creatures with them, however a more experienced Magi could have twice as many. It didn't always depend on power, nor did it entirely depend on how long you've lived or how many things you've seen and gone through.
Frost chirped, his front bird-like legs lifting off the ground a few inches in a very horse-like manner. He was careful, however, to make sure the baby Myths did not fall from the bags that held them. They were still within their eggs after all.
Luna grinned, "Yeah, Frost. I know you're happy. I am to. It's been raining the past few days and you've been stuck in the Keep for longer. At least Whirlpool will be in a good mood."
Frost gave another chirp.
"You can talk to Kyuu about it when we get there, but you shouldn't have run off into the open before the rain completely let up. You know how your feathers get when their wet. Oh don't give me that look, you know better. You're a grown Hippgryph. No wonder you remind me of Jack Frost."
