My friend had nothing good to say about the news Transformers so I won't pay money to see it. I may watch it on Netflix someday.

• Ratchet was killed off for the hell of it.
  Too much human time....again.....
  Grimlock and the dinobots barely had any screen time. Hell, they apparently didn't even come in til the end.
  Grimlock and the dinobots didn't talk at all, literally weren't sentient.
  Michael Bay....don't really need to say more than that.

I'll have to ask him for other specifics.

Well, this movie was better than #2 and #3, IMO.
And, I have to disagree on some of your points.

Ratchet could be a plot point for the next movie. From what we saw, his spark survived and is presumably on the ship. Rescue, maybe? (I hope.) I'm seeing some of that in fanfiction already.

It was a bummer that we didn't see the dinobots until near the end, but to say they weren't sentient is totally incorrect. They were alive and aware and understood Optimus when he released them from the ship. And, once OP showed Grim who was boss, they followed his instructions. They might not have been equipped with vocalizers that were able to form English words, and as far as we know, they could have been communicating with comms.

That's why I wanted to see a paperback version of the movie. Previous movie books did have some insights and explained things a little more. For me, anyway.
But, I missed so much the first time though, I really should try to find time to see it again.
And take notes.

I think that the Kaiju are vastly bigger than Transformers though. I saw an article about that. Kaiju are actually around the size of Metroplex.
