also question - I'm assuming kolya's identity is still a mystery to the rest of the group, but would you say animals and other creatures would be able to tell he's different (perhaps by scent or something)? just a minor detail I was thinking about throwing into my post

Wow, it almost seems like you guys have a drone watching me so the second I go to sleep you pounce on the threads and post quite a bit. Impressive, since I don't really sleep much.
Hopefully I'll get a post up some time before going home. But it is pretty difficult to actually get any time to sit down and write. While I can sometimes grab some WiFi while I'm out and about with my phone, my mobile browser crashes when I try to write a post. So I have to use my tablet for writing posts. Sorry if I seem to hold anyone back, I honestly don't mean to.

I can't say I know much about the character, so I can't really suggest anything. If I knew him better, I'd try to help. Sorry for not being able to do anything useful.

If by identity you mean his race (and to an extent his class), then it probably would be a correct assumption. I mean, there are a lot of instances of people not realizing a manakete's race even with their ears in view. I guess it depends on how much a person has studied the race as to how easily they can distinguish members of it. But there aren't really many resources lying around for that sort of thing.
But I imagine animals would be more perceptive, since they tend to rely on things like scent and such. It probably depends on the creature in question, but I think that most would at least be able to tell that there's something off about him, and potentially be a little on edge around him. However all animals are different, just like people. You can do whatever you think is best. That's just my two cents.
