I learned that applying to a lot of colleges around here costs money. In fact, the college I'm applying to is the only one around here that doesn't charge money for the application.

ughh yes, college applications can be so expensive - applying for grad/professional school is even worse, not to mention the money I had to spend on airfare and hotels to interview everywhere! blech.
