These tiny avians are only as big as your thumb, but the joy they bring to others far outweighs their diminutive size. They are easily seen by the flashing of their bright metallic colors as they flit and dart through the trees. They are attracted to objects as brightly colored as they themselves are, so often the easiest way to see one is to dress in a blinding regalia of colored clothes, though many Magi take the more sedate option of simply hanging a brightly colored scarf in a tree branch or out of their window at the Keep. It is speculated that the bright turning of the leaves and riot of color brought about by this season attracts these creatures and that they migrate the world following the colors of Fall. Added to their bright coloring their soft scales are coated in a fine powder as a protection against rain, the water simply slides off the loose dust. This powder adds to their beauty by dusting off as they move, retaining the reflective qualities of the Lassarian itself this dust resembles a trail of glitter behind it as it flies. It is not known if this powder has any magical properties because as soon as a Lassarian gets close enough to study the observer forgets all their thoughts and worries and get lost in the beauty of the moment, only to become aware of themselves a minute or two after the creature has flown away.

Art is pretty, but I think colours should be lighter, especially on tails.

do you mean not so saturated, like its more made out of glass or something?

I could use the glassy one if more people like it but the point of the concept was they are brightly colorled like the autumn leaves though - not those colors exactly but BRIGHT.

glassy could work though.
comments please.

I like both versions. Maybe there could be a gender dimorphism, and the male would have the darker, more vivid colors, while the female would be lighter and paler. I really like these, by the way! <3

Wow, these are really pretty! I like both versions, and I agree with jmilana, it would be cool if they had gender dimorphism.

I'm loving the art, and I agree with the dimorphism idea. Lighter coloring would also keep the eye focused on the design of the creature, and less on the aggressive colors :)
