The Stone Sentry, each variety deriving from the four seasons respectively, is a calm and regal race. They stand guard over their territory, often seen pacing along its borders. To ward off potential threats to these territories, the crystals embedded in the chests of these creatures will emanate a strong magical aura that will affect creatures who wander near in ways that sometimes varies between giver and receiver. For some, it seems to have this way of getting under the skin, creating the sensation of goosebumps; others say they just get this sense of "wrongness" that makes them turn and walk back the way they came; and more still report that they seemed to have hallucinated a tree chasing after them or such. Magi can ward themselves from these unsettling situations, and this ability can be rewarded with a rare glimpse of a Stone Sentry.
