How is everyone holding up almost one week in? I got pretty behind, but pulled myself out of the pit this morning with a long writing session and about 3500 words--almost caught up now, though sadly I have to take a break and go take care of real life things for a while.

Also, just curious--do you guys like to write things in order, or jump around? I hit a block this week until I decided I didn't care about finishing my first chapter right now and just switched to writing a series of flashbacks for a different (preferred) character. I think that's how I'll proceed for a while; I can switch characters whenever I get stuck since they haven't met yet, and hash out some backstory and character development that might fit in somewhere eventually.

I jump around a lot... and I'm quite behind. I DO hope to write 2,5k words every day next week, to try to catch up. My word count is still the one on my badge, + some 300 words I wrote yesterday on my tablet, while being away.

As for th jumping around/skipping ahead. Not usually but damn is it tempting right now. Has a massive idea for how I want some things later to play out, the problem is, is it's waay later(season 3 in the canon story line, I'm still at the beginning of season 1 so I can't bring it in early).

So, how's everybody doing? Unless things go seriously out of whach with my schedule, I'm *hoping* to finish on the 25th at my current rate of 2,5k words per day. My story won't be even half-fininshed by 50k, but I guess NaNo has revived my interest in writing stories regularly for the first time in a.... very long time. So yeah, I think I'll keep writing after NaNo is over, but at a slower rate.

I'm so ridiculously far behind by now, we'll see if I can recover. But there's a lot on my plate at work, and I need to work this weekend so I can go home for Thanksgiving without feeling like I'm slacking. If I can start doing 2500 words a day I could still make it, but that's not too likely...

Because of school andd my mental state, I've given up, long ago. The last straw was me trying the trick 'just write something, anything' it was so bad that it killed my novel for me (for now)
I did like how it inspired me to write after a long pause though. But when I stopped, most of the other things I was doing did too

Oh well, I'll just get back to it some other time~

I reached 50k today. Still kinda can't believe that I did it on my first year of doing NaNo AND coming back to writing something on a regular basis for the first time in VERY many years.

The story, at 50k words, is still pretty much in the beginning, but I'm excited to continue it - at a much more relaxed pace right now, of course!
