Let's face it. Cats and dogs were never meant to get along. They are two complete opposites of each other, natural enemies. Throw this fact in with two clans of shapeshifters living near each other and you've got a war.
Will these two ever find that delicate balance of harmony?
Or will they destroy each other as cats and dogs?
Each shapeshifter has the ability to shift into one animal, and one animal only. Depending on what animal they shift into, they will have certain physical enhancements such as better hearing, sight, sense of smell, speed, strength, etc.
The Cats. The Whitestar tribe is the clan of feline shapeshifters. These shifters can take on the form of large felines, or big cats. A shifter from this clan can shift into any large cat, whether it be a lion, panther, jaguar, leopard, cheetah, etc. The shifters from this clan generally have better smell, hearing, balance, and speed.
The Dogs. The Stormrunner pack is the clan of the canine shapeshifters. Each shifter in this clan takes on the form of a large wolf, though normally not much larger than normal wolves. Yes, they do have variety of their animal forms, for they can shift into any breed of wolf. The physical enhancements commonly found in this clan include better smell, hearing, strength, and stamina.
The territory split by these two clans that is currently in dispute is a large section of land away from human settlement. Much of it is covered by natural forest, which is allowed to grow on its own and is altered very little. There are a few fields here and there, varying in shape, size, and coverage, that serve many purposes, and also a lake that separates the territories and acts as sort of a border. In the lake itself is considered neutral ground. Each clan has a large house that serves as the clan house. Each house is very large, with enough rooms to accommodate all the clan members plus some spares for visitors, and is complete with a kitchen, living room, dining room, etc.
*Each of the bedrooms is slightly different in detail, customized to its occupant's liking, but has the same general layout

Human Appearance Shilo is short and stocky, with a muscular but also pudgy body-type. She's around 5'3", and honestly doesn't care much. Any jabs about her height will result in a remarkably swift and hard kick to the shins, or a silencing glare from icy blue eyes. Despite her sunkissed skin, she is happiest in colder weather, often outside without much protection from the wind while others bundle up inside. Her black hair was longer in the past, but she has recently cut it short so that it would less often get in her way.
Animal Form
Canis lupus alces, Or the Kenai Peninsula wolf. A short legged stockier version of the more well known grey wolf. She is much less agile in this form, but very strong and capable of taking and giving tons of damage. Her fur is russet colored with a mix of black on her back and white on her belly.
Enhancements Shilo is capable of going into a sort of "berserk" mode when someone she cares about is injured. The thing about this "mode" is that while she can seemingly shrug off any injury, as soon as it's over she is in worse shape than she would be if she fought like normal.

Personality The stubborn type, Shilo will never take crap from anyone else, even the leader of her clan. She treats everyone with equal disdain until they earn her trust. She doesn't quite get the war between the species, and honestly thinks it's rather stupid. Despite this, if one of the few people she counts as her friends is in danger, she will fight back with extreme force. Shilo is hard to get close to, but when one earns her trust they earn loyalty to the end of the earth.
